Former President George W. Bush told The Dispatch podcast on Friday that if the Republican Party “stands for … White Anglo-Saxon Protestantism, then it’s not going to win anything.”
The Dispatch was launched in 2020 by Never Trump writers, including alumni of the now-defunct Weekly Standard. Bush was interviewed by Sarah Isgur, who served as the spokesperson for the Department of Justice under President Donald Trump, and former Weekly Standard editor-in-chief Steve Hayes.

After World War II, the Yankee elite lost their dominance in Northeastern politics to white Catholics and Jews and in the GOP to Southerners and lower Midwesterners. Wall Street, the money center banks, and the Ivy League colleges became dominated by a new, and substantially Jewish, elite. The surviving Yankees adapted to their dethronement by moving leftward. The country club Republicans, who produced Prescott Bush, Nelson Rockefeller, and Lowell Weicker, the "me-too" Republicans of the mid-20th Century, switched to the Democrats. Thus, places where old money Yankees still live, like Fairfield County, Connecticut or the mainline suburbs of Philadelphia, are now Democratic. The scions of families like those of Theodore Roosevelt or Hamilton Fish support the likes of Obama and Biden. The Episcopal Church, once described as the Republican Party in prayer, is now almost as leftist as Antifa or BLM.
The Bushes, led by the elder George Bush, changed their colors, but not their ideology. Moving from Greenwich, Connecticut to Midland and Houston, Texas made it necessary to act like conservatives. Now that the Bushes are more or less sidelined, they are shedding their camouflage.
It makes no sense. It is a topic only a rabble-rouser would use as a troll and to stir up trouble.
That guy Bush should hide in shame with all the blood on his hands. I myself would not be able to look in a mirror. The only honorable thing left for that swine is to withdraw to his ranch and exit public life.
Bush is a double minded man. He speaks both redneck mexican and Dallas texan. He favors the redneck Mexican side. He has not much sympathy for Americans. After all, he is a millionaire. Isn’t everybody?

The man is a dunce. Steve Bannon on his radio show today told how GW Bush was set up as “president” of the Texas Rangers by wealthy friends of his father. When he would go to Board meetings, he would read a question from a paper; there were never any follow-up questions bc he has no analytical ability. Thus, you can understand how some Iraqi exiles who pushed him not to invade Iraq left the Oval Office stunned a week before he invaded bc he didn’t know that there were three major ethnic groups in Iraq - Sunni, Shia and Kurds - that were likely to go to war against each other once Saddam was gone.
Well if you are part of the demographics is destiny crowd, there are some stark census figures floating about. People who identify as caucasian is now below 60% from a high of 92% in 1950. Ethnicity does not dictate political philosophy but birds of a feather do flock together. Be prepared for political pitches for a Republican "big tent"

Just stating a fact. The 2 parties fall all over themselves for the black voting block, 13%. At near 60% whites are a potential powerhouse for the near term. Very soon it will be Hispanics. Honestly, I don’t care. I’m old, one day these under 40 idiots will get what they want. Hope I’m on my way out by then.
