Well, I hope that goes badly for them.
Sue this Mayor for every crime committed , I didn’t have to look her up ,her first name said everything
Get
Out
“Hey, your car is on fire!”
“Here, put it out with this gasoline!”
“Gee, I sure didn’t expect that result. What went wrong?”
It’s always good to know what cities to bypass.
Obviously a ploy to avoid hiring Black police officers to right historic inequities. She be actin' white.
More armed citizens means you need less police.
In the future don’t elect someone who hates your guts.
Make it so. It’s going to have to get worse before it can get better. Sadly there will be casualties.
Excellent news.
My god, what the hell is St. Louis thinking?
On the other hand, here is a prime opportunity for St. Louis to show the rest of us that fewer police IS the way to go..I sincerely wish them the best. The "Show Me State" can now be a showcase!! &^)
The plan cuts 98 vacant police jobs, including six lieutenants, 25 sergeants, and 67 police officers, which the mayor says have been vacant for 12 years.
That is a hell of a lot of jobs to keep vacant for 12 years.
Fantastic idea, now the denizens of St. Louis can take personal responsibility for their own wellbeing. The remaining police can take advanced classes in chalk outline drawings.
This is a legitimate action for any municipality to freeze cop counts where they are. And for multiple reasons, not the least of which is budget control and allocation.
And from my point of view, good policy.
Cops rarely do what the taxpayer wants them to do, for myriad reasons, and thus have become a burden to most income tax payers and property tax payers.
Their refusal to enforce property crimes makes them mostly useless to the middle class.
“Root causers” became a cliche of ridicule forty years ago. I am continually stunned to read this meaningless meme still being used by actual officials. It is a guarantee that no change will ever happen as long as people are wasting their time searching for (pulling out?) “roots.”
Braves decided that it was not worth the trouble so they moved outside of Atlanta and built the new stadium in Cobb County, Georgia. Smart move.
