When a Democrat does something similar it is presented in the best light with the best motives.
This is the reality we have to deal with in today’s world.
The long time problem I see for the Democrat party is that they do not have any core beliefs out side of gaining more power and wealth and they are really not concerned about our nation or us as individuals. This will eventually lead to dissatisfaction of the people and history has shown going as far back as the ancient Egyptians when the people have had enough, bad things happen to the rulers.
I once read that every large organization has the seeds for their own destruction already in place on day one of their organizing, that is true in business as well as politics.
