I think they have been test driving a “green” economy in California for the past several years. As we can see, it means destruction of agriculture in favor of watering the ocean, crowded roadways because no more can be built, bankruptcy threatened because of government pension obligations and pie-in-the-sky high speed rail project, increased threat of wildfires, increasing disparity between high and low income populations due to lax rules regarding immigration and enforced “green spaces” which limit affordable housing options, flight of middle and upper-class producers due to taxation and regulation overkill, faux elections. In other words, imminent Venezuela conditions.
