Here Are Down and Dirty Reasons Why California Lost a Congressional Seat and Texas and Florida Added in Census

The information from the census is beginning to trickle out and we’re learning the winners and losers in the congressional sweepstakes. It’s official: California is a loser while Texas and Florida are winners.

On Monday, news about the congressional fallout from the census numbers began trickling out.

For the first time in 170 years, California has lost congressional representation because of a diminishing population.

There are only 435 seats in Congress and the Census Bureau rearranges those chairs every ten years. California is among the states that lost in the every-ten-years game of musical chairs.

#BREAKING: Census Apportionment Data:

HOUSE SEAT LOSES:
CA: -1
IL: -1
MI: -1
NY: -1
OH: -1
PA: -1
WV: -1

HOUSE SEAT GAINS:
TX: +2

FL: +1
MT: +1
OR: +1
NC: +1

It’s not hard to understand why California lost a congressional seat – and representation in Congress – while Florida and Texas picked up congressional seats.

After losing people steadily since 2017, California’s growth was slow enough to lose a congressional seat while Florida and Texas, where Californians are fleeing, gained one and two seats, respectively.

The Associated Press reported that California still has the most people at 39.58 million but because its growth didn’t keep up with the nation’s average growth rate it will lose one of its 53 congressional seats.

California’s population grew by about 2.3 million people since the 2010 Census but has been nearly flat since 2017.

“It’s certainly a remarkable result given the broader history of the state, which has been just almost relentless population growth,” said Eric McGhee, a senior fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California who studies political redistricting.

MAYBE THE ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP AS PRESIDENT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A FACTOR.

California’s population has remained “flat since in 2017” because something else happened in 2017. Donald Trump became president and made halting illegal immigration the centerpiece of his presidency.

His tough words and swift action severely slowed the catch-and-release policies that had previously allowed bogus claims of refugee status. The economic refugees were told they had to make their claims in the closest country, which in most cases was Mexico.

This discouraged a flood of illegal immigration. Previously, people would traverse several different countries before making claims of refugee status in the US.

California has lost more residents to other states than it’s gained for all but three of the past roughly 30 years.

Those losses typically are offset by international immigration into the state, something that’s slowed in recent years. Births also are declining while deaths are increasing, a phenomenon across the U.S. that’s slightly faster in California.

I can see the Psycho Pedophile Joe Biden adding a couple seats back to Cauliphonya with his “executive orders.” He can’t allow the communists and Nazi ‘RATS to lose seats.

Illinois currently has 13 democrat and 5 republican congressmen. After the democrats gerrymander the districts there will be 13 democrats and 4 republicans.

That’s not how executive orders work.

How many seats would they lose if non-citizens weren’t counted?

Florida is trending right. President Trump won by 371000 votes. It was the second highest GOP win since 1988.

2018 was a “wave” year for the Democrats and yet Florida still voted R for Senator and Governor knocking off an incumbent D in the process.

Keep an eye on the ‘RATs in these states- they WILL work out some illegal way to make sure they hold power.

Why are ANY voters still voting to elect these corrupt traitorous ‘RAT politicians?

I travel to Tampa often, every other mile there are nothing but Penske and U-Haul trucks heading south....so many that many local Florida UHaul rental stores have their lots overflowing with trucks and trailers presumably waiting for a rental back north....Martin Armstrong ( legendary forecaster) right on again, we are entering the “ authoritarian “ cycle, with huge unrest and “ civil disobedience “ rising into 2026-8....culminates in 2030, USD dethroned, west decimated....China Russia fill the void...all the signs are occurring.

Every state delegation will work it out to the advantage of the party in power. So, if they lose a seat, they redraw the lines to target a district that the opposite party holds. That’s just how it works.

And it does seem that the republican party has an advantage to pick up about three in the US House this next time around.

Where it hurts the stronger party is in the presidential elections. This helps the republicans more, too.

Yeah... I know there is an enormous amount of cheating, but this at least helps to some degree.

Ohio currently has 12 republican and four democrat districts. After gerrymandering there will be 12 republicans and three democrats.

Not to worry, chances are those new seats in Texas and Florida will most likely be filled by Rats, thanks to all the influx from California and New York.

I'd contend after the democrats are done redrawing lines, there will be 17 democrats and 0 republicans.

Gotta love Hellinois! The democrats here do whatever it takes to seize and keep power.

I guarantee it will be a Republican seat and probably that of their biggest enemy. They have a super majority in both houses and the governor. They can draw the election districts pretty much any way they want. The judges appointed by them will go along.

>>Every state delegation will work it out to the advantage of the party in power.

Almost. Last census, the state supreme court in Pennsylvania redrew the maps themselves to advantage Rats, despite tbe legislature being Pubbie and the DOJ forced Texas to also redistrict in favor of the Rats.

There will be similar thefts this time around.
