Federal officials in Washington already have confirmed that a police officer at the U.S. Capitol – whose name still is being withheld – will not face any criminal charges for shooting and killing unarmed veteran Ashli Babbitt at the Jan. 6 riot.
But that person may be facing civil counts, according to a report in BizPacReview.
The publication said the confirmation came from a lawyer for the family of Babbitt in an interview with NewsMax who revealed the family will file civil charges "over the violation of her constitutional rights."
The lawyer, Terry Roberts, was being interviewed about the decision by the Department of Justice to pursue no charges against the officer.

Absolutely. The shooter needs to be identified. We all watched him holding his firearm waiting and waiting then stepping forward to shoot. He was in no danger, he clearly had time to notice she was a small, unarmed woman. He murdered her.

Every time a legislator goes on tv the interviewer should ask “Who shot Ashli Babbitt?” And if they won’t answer, they should be asked why they don’t want to answer.
I think that is justified.
As I recall, within days the word was: “He had no choice.” See how easy that is.
Name him and shame him. And bleed the perp, union and insurance company dry.
This is why I think that if a Public Servant is found Liable for Violating the Civil Rights of a Person, they should be put on the Prohibited from Possessing Firearms List Immediately.

It won't be the shooter; he'll have qualified immunity. Sue the Capitol Police Force instead.
Sue both the department and the individual. It’s done all the time.
