Los Angeles Police Officer Pens Letter To LeBron James Requesting Sitdown To Talk About Policing
Fox News ^ | 04.27.2021 | Louis Casiano

Posted on 04/27/2021 2:27:47 AM PDT by USA Conservative

A Black Los Angeles police officer who has worked in the city's Skid Row area for two decades invited LeBron James to have a discussion about policing following a much-criticized tweet from the Lakers star related to the fatal police shooting of a teenage girl.

Deon Joseph, a 24-year veteran of the LAPD, posted a letter to his Facebook page Sunday addressed to James where he called his stance on policing "off base and extreme."

James has frequently spoken out against racism and police misconduct in recent years.

He came under fire last week after tweeting an image of a Columbus, Ohio police officer following the shooting of Ma'Khia Bryant, who was shot by an officer as she was attacking another teen with a knife.

The incident occurred minutes before a Minneapolis, Minn., jury convicted Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd.

"YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY," James tweeted with the officer's image.

He later deleted the post, saying it was being used to "create more hate."

"Your tweet that targeted a police officer in Ohio who saved a young woman’s life was irresponsible and disturbing," Joseph wrote. "It showed a complete lack of understanding of the challenge of our job in the heat of a moment. You basically put a target on the back of a human being who had to make a split second decision to save a life from a deadly attack."

Hope this officer schools James the racist idiot! LeBron is another Mouth Almighty! One of those who make comments but is too stupid to know anything about reality. What the hell has he to offer anyone other than the fact the light is on but seems no one home within him!

How about the Police stop giving Lebron James a personal escort everywhere he goes? I’ve seen the pictures, they aren’t private security with him, they are police.

I think this officer will be wasting his time if he talks to James. Like talking to a brick wall.

Report: Daunte Wright Had Warrant for Attempted Aggravated Robbery

breitbart ^ | 13 Apr 2021 | GABRIELLE REYES

Daunte Wright allegedly had a warrant out for his arrest at the time he was shot and killed by a Brooklyn Center police officer near Minneapolis, Minnesota, court papers obtained by the British Daily Mail newspaper suggest.

"Wright was to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery – with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison," the newspaper reported.

The charge stems from December 2019 when Wright, then 19, and a man named Emajay Driver, 18 years old, allegedly visited a residence shared by two women in Osseo, Minnesota. Wright allegedly tried to hold up one of the women to steal a sum of $820 in cash she had stashed inside her bra.

Wright allegedly pointed a gun at the woman, choked her, and threatened to shoot her if she did not hand over the money.

"The $820 cash was tucked in the victim's bra and defendant Wright placed his hand around victim's neck and choked her while trying to pull the cash from under her bra," according to Officer Mikkelson. "Victim was able to get loose from defendant Wright and started to kneel down and scream."

"After more yelling, Wright allegedly told the woman that he was going to shoot her unless he got the money," according to the Daily Mail.

Wright's bail for the charge was set at $100,000, "with orders that he should not contact the victim or any witnesses, refrain from drugs and alcohol and not have any weapons. A bail bondsman paid $40,000 for his release," the Daily Mail reports.

Wright's bail was revoked in July 2020, however, "due to his ‘failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition’ and not keeping in touch with his probation officer," according to court papers seen by the Daily Mail.

Daunte Wright, George Floyd, two birds of an "aggravated robbery" feather...

George Floyd’s Criminal Past

George Floyd moved to Minneapolis in 2014 after being released from prison in Houston, Texas following an arrest for aggravated robbery

On May 25, 2020, Floyd was arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 bill at a grocery store in Minneapolis. He was under the influence of fentanyl and methamphetamine at the time of arrest

Floyd has more than a decade-old criminal history at the time of the arrest and went to jail at least 5 times

George Floyd was the ringleader of a violent home invasion

He plead guilty to entering a woman’s home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money, according to court records

Floyd was sentenced to 10 months in state jail for possession of cocaine in a December 2005 arrest. He had previously been sentenced to eight months for the same offense, stemming from an October 2002 arrest

Floyd was arrested in 2002 for criminal trespassing and served 30 days in jail

He had another stint for a theft in August 1998”

I am suspicious. Could very well be a liberal cop designated to be an “off ramp” for liberty-hating LeBron to save face.

And even with that, the Daily Mail lies by omission. He pointed his gun at her stomach? No, he pointed his gun at a visibly pregnant woman’s gestating baby.

James could probably save lives if he convinced younger blacks to not run from the popo. Wouldn’t be cool, though.

He would do better to convince young blacks to NOT embrace ghetto culture.

Twenty years? Hell,I think that *I'd* run in that situation. But,OTOH,I doubt that I'd ever commit aggravated robbery.

I don’t think LeBron cares about society. Just LeBron and “the Community.”
