I'm afraid you're right. They may be in GOP states but likely to go to urban districts. I hope not but I think you're right.

4-6 new GOP seats. They need 5 to take control of the House.

Red SEATS?

Not necessarily. Many of those new residents are moving into blue areas of those red states and they are bringing their leftism with them.

They will try to make those red states into the same s*ithole blue states they moved from.

Redistricting is going to tell us the real winner. California loses 1 seat, but they will try to redistrict in a way to that it is a Republican seat that gets drawn out. West Virginia losing a seat is a guaranteed Republican loss, because GOP holds all three seats now.

The benefits to the red states depend on how the legislatures apportion the new seats. In Texas and Florida, the GOP controls both houses of the legislature and the governorship. In Texas, the older suburbs, like Plano and Carrollton, are moving leftward while newer communities like McKinney and Southlake, are conservative. Exurban areas are very conservative, in places like Hunt County northeast of Dallas or Parker County west of Fort Worth. Colorado and Oregon are more likely to create a blue district. Some of the stats losing seats like New York will merge a Republican leaning district out of existence, as the Democrats hold the governorship and both houses of the legislature.

I wouldn’t jump for joy just yet.

The folks leaving are still blue prudes who have been so conditioned, they will vote for the same crap they left.

I’[m in Ohio, and that Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia thing really frightens me. Who did we lose? Coal miners, auto workers, steel workers, what?

Ok, FRiends, your honest views, please. I’m a 4th generation Californian and I despise what the rats have done to my state. I’m glad we’re losing a seat. But seriously, isn’t it Illinois that’s the biggest rat-created hellhole in the nation? Obviously I’m glad they’re losing a seat, too

The bottom line about it is which party gets to draw the new districts. There will obviously be issues with the courts trying to help the democcrats, but it begins with the party in power drawing the new lines.

It’s pretty much guaranteed that the seat that will be removed in Illinois will be one of the few the RINOs have here (the others are Democrat held). That is despite the fact that Chicago keeps bleeding residents (it has almost a million fewer people than it had in the 1950’s).

Montana? Good news.Texas? Good news for now (but it’s trending Rat). Florida and North Carolina are unreliable (they both voted for Osama Obama).
