A Queens mother has been charged with two counts of murder for the brutal deaths of her two six-week-old twins, whose bodies were found stabbed to death in her apartment Thursday - one with a knife sticking out of his head.
Danezja Kilpatrick, 23, was charged less than 24 hours after officers with the New York Police Department discovered the six-week-old twins, a boy and a girl, inside the Woodside Houses on 51st Street and 32nd Avenue.
Police first found the infant boy - Dakota Bentley - inside a bedroom crib with a knife sticking out of his head, the Daily News reported, citing police sources.

For the first few weeks, our second child only slept 4 hours out of 24. Feeling isolated and exhausted caught up with me.
I got through it with the help of medication and an equally exhausted husband, but it was a main reason we did not have any more children.
It never occurred to me to harm the child, but I did think about throwing myself down some steps and maybe breaking a leg.
I later tried to help a friend through it, but her depression was compounded by the fear that her newborn had a genetic disease. She was so afraid of harming her children that she attempted suicide several times and required hospitalization.
I am not making excuses for this woman, just saying that post partum depression can cause psychosis. These precious lives could have been saved.
And, for repentance and a turn away from those sins.

Family of course saying she was mentally ill.
This is the type of murder case that in any truly civilized country would be processed from the moment of apprehension to the moment of execution within 10 days or less, and any questions or comments regarding “motive” would be inadmissible at trial. No exceptions and no appeals.
I was chosen by my friends wife to save her, after went crazy 2 days after birth of first child. She believed I knew everything about medicines. She was psychotic for about one week. Had to be heavily medicated and kept in hospital. She cleared and never again had that severe a reaction.
She would run down the hallway in the hospital screaming that the meds she was given were going to kill her and that the staff was “killing everyone” with medication. Thank God she made it and didn’t harm herself or anyone else.

This is a single young woman in her early twenties. She has a set of twins & is all alone. She almost certainly was postpartum, sleep deprived & at her wits end. She is likely temorarilly insane.
My wife & I have twins. When they were born we decided I would stay home as she had the health insurance & a secure job.
Twins aren’t like having two babies. It’s like having ten babies. One is always up, they will never allow you to sleep & they limit all your potential activity as taking them anywhere is a logistical nightmare. That is with a spouse & plenty of extended family. I couldn’t imagine being alone & trying to care for them.
Just a tragedy all they way around.
