Poll: Americans Not Buying Into Democrats' Anti-Gun Panic Rhetoric

The anti-gun lobby is loud, well-funded, and a darling of the mainstream media. If someone were to awaken from a long coma and begin paying attention to the gun conversation in the American MSM, he or she would undoubtedly believe that most Americans are overwhelmingly in favor of much stricter gun laws or even abolishing the Second Amendment altogether.

That’s not really what is going on in the real world, which is a place that the MSM doesn’t travel to very often.

The anti-gun lobby is just one of the many puppet masters pulling the strings of the empty vessel occupying the Oval Office. They made their intentions known quite early and leaned on Biden to do something quickly. He obeyed his masters via executive action earlier this month. He had to do it that way because federal gun control legislation rarely gets passed (more on that in a moment).

Despite the overwhelming rhetoric machine that the anti-2A people have, a new poll shows that the American public’s taste for new and stricter laws has dropped a bit.

The gun grab is not to protect us, it’s intended to weaken us. Imagine what the people who want your guns are going to do you once they have them. Yes, this is going to happen. Just look how they are slowly and permanently taking away your 2nd amended right for misdemeanors and non violent felonies such as copyright infringement.

problem is there are basically three kinds of guns.
1. hand guns
2. hunting rifles and shotguns
3. Scary looking guns.

Type three is usually just a scary looking version of types 1 and two. Type two is not practical to ban because, well, they are “good” guns used for hunting and have been around for a very long time.

Type 1 can be found in a LOT of feminists’ purses, so good look trying to control those, even though they are the the perp’s weapon of choice.

This leaves us with type three. They are mostly just a hobbyist gun and not really all that popular for mowing down people. But they look scary, so they are the star of the show.

But it is just a show. Theater.

They have been pushing an anti-gun agenda since 1962. The murders of John and Bobby Kennedy really gave them a jump in the “ratings”.

All attempts to ban handguns failed so they went after rifles, something they said they would NEVER do.

If they can get any type ban on rifles then they will be back after their original target, handguns.

I do and I agree with you. Additionally, the Democrats do as they damn well please. Hell with anyone thinks. They call the Republicans racists or mean spirited should object and the Republicans bowel movements turn to water.

Democrats encouragement of BLM and Antifa’s looting, burning and riot ends any chance that gun owners would comply with draconian gun control. If they didn’t exist and there was a nut shooting up places weekly, I still wouldn’t comply. If I was raptured, I’d take guns with me.

True. If i recall correctly, Lee Harvey Oswald bought his rifle by mail order. I think such sales ae banned nowadays. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Maybe off topic, but are we safer with about 20,000 gun control laws on thr books, than before we had such laws?

Consider this. Your chances of being shot dead and being killed in a car wreck are the same.

In 2018, 40,000 were shot dead. This includes suicides and accidents.

In 2018, 40, 000 were killed in car wrecks.

Anyone going to give up driving?

Yes, in a nine year period, we saw the assassinations of the Kennedys, Martin Luther King, and the shooting of George Wallace.

All.of these created a situation in which assorted liberal types wanted to “do something”.

This idea is still with us. They don’t want a crisis to go to waste. The gun control debate is revived every time there is a shooting.
