The law enforcement arm of the U.S. Postal Service has been quietly running a program that tracks and collects Americans’ social media posts, including those about planned protests, according to a document obtained by Yahoo News.
The details of the surveillance effort, known as iCOP, or Internet Covert Operations Program, have not previously been made public. The work involves having analysts trawl through social media sites to look for what the document describes as “inflammatory” postings and then sharing that information across government agencies.

"Analysts." Right.
They're trolls, gossips, Karens, and snitches.
I keep wondering if an audit of the USPS images of mail, in the swing states that had so much voting Fauci, would be good evidence at a trial (I can wish) of the true number of mail-in ballots that were in fact mailed in.
I see Freepers as people who want the best for our country, and as such, are not a threat to our nation at all. However, many of us view those at the helm of our nation as being the real subversives out to damage our country. It is not hard to come to that conclusion. Just watch the news a few nights. Those PEOPLE probably view us as a threat to their evil and misguided cause.
We may not be now, but if things keep up, we could end up being the hunted.
We already suspect, or know, that a dozen agencies are probably storing all of FreeRepublic posts and comments...
That is why we Freepers will have priority standing in the freight cars and will be using the express lane into the ovens...
At least when all the Freepers’ ammo is expended...
Save a piece of moldy bread for me.
Understand that everything you post on the internet (including here) can be monitored by the government without having to get any sort of warrant.
Why?
Because when you signed up for all those services, Google, Facebook, Apple, etc. you clicked on a “proceed” icon where you waived any right to privacy and gave away all you personal information to the app. Even such minor things as apps to monitor your athletic activity while you are working out.
So the government takes the position you have no expectation of privacy as to anything you do on the internet, and it is free to spy on you as much as it wants. And this has been upheld by the courts.
Yes
ALL government has been coopted to destroy conservatism.
People on FreeRepublic are generally above-board, so I don’t worry too much here.
I have been a follower of some conservative blog sites that in the last few weeks have been attracting some crazies that are advocating violence against the government, or crazy race things. I can’t tell whether those folks are real crazies, or perhaps leftist trolls seeking to poison the blog site. In any event, I have stopped posting comments there because I don’t want to be associated with the crazies when either the government or progressive doxxers/hackers start looking at the site to “expose” people. This is where we’re at.
The greatest criticism of George Orwell is that he was not imaginative enough.
...but in Orwell’s defence: Who could ever have imagined THIS?????
Newman was my favorite character.
With special attention given to KooKs prone to insurrection.
The USPS police??? Seriously???
Time to downsize.
What’s next, Phone Cops?
The Post Office really has NOTHING BETTER TO DO than to monitor social media posts???
What would they do at a protest that they discovered, hand out hate mail???
PING!
