Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that people who have been vaccinated against the CCP virus should “act immune” and pushed back against comments made by top U.S. health officials.
DeSantis, a Republican, argued that if there is no change in mask requirements or social distancing, then people will view it as useless to get the vaccine.
“My view is if you get a vaccine, the vaccines are effective, you’re immune, and so, act immune,” DeSantis told a crowd in Lakeland, Florida, over the weekend.
“I think the messaging is horrific,” DeSantis continued to say. “I think the messaging should be, ‘Get a vaccine because it’s good for you to do it. It works. You’re not going to have to have to be doing anything abnormal. You can live your life.’ That’s got to be what the message is.”
He also said: “I advocate for (getting vaccinated) but I also can’t square if the vaccines effective, why would you need to be wearing two masks like some of these folks are doing. It doesn’t make sense.” Several public officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, have been seen in recent weeks wearing two masks.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Fauci, the public face and head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, have recommended that people wear a mask even after being fully vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, also known as the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
According to the CDC report in April, it recommends Americans who have been fully vaccinated to “keep taking precautions—like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces—in public places until we know more.”
People who are fully vaccinated should not attend large gatherings or visit indoors without a mask with people who are at risk of developing severe symptoms from the CCP virus.
DeSantis, meanwhile, criticized the CDC’s and Food and Drug Administration’s decision to recommend a pause on using the Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine following isolated reports of blood clots.
“How they handled the J&J, I think was a huge mistake,” the governor said. “I don’t know the information they have, but if you’re going to do that, you could’ve done that in a way that was not going to cause a lot of people to lose confidence,” he said.
DeSantis said the halt caused Americans to distrust vaccines.
From what I've read about Moderna and Pfizer, the mRNA disintegrates easily so you may end up getting a weak vaccination or a placebo shot.
I act immune because (1) God gave me a kick-ass immune system, and (2) I want to live my life in freedom and not as a drone.

We were down that way Easter Weekend when we traveled to Panama City Beach. We stopped several places that didn’t require masks. It was great. I think masking will be gone within a couple of weeks except in the deep blue states.

Couple things. First variants are so close to the original that your body does recognize them, rushes troops to the scene, then makes small adaptions for the “new” part. So to think a variant is seen as brand new by the immune system, well this is just not the case. Your body already knows how to deal with the vast majority of the “variant”, due to its past experience with the wild virus.
Next, the vaccinations being given now only teach the immune system about a small part of the virus, while Natural infections provide the immune system with the whole.
In no way are you more protected with mRNA or the like, than that achieved by immunity through infection. We may be able to argue to what percentage, but to think the vaccines in use currently, are better than natural immunity, is simply not the case.

Isn’t that crazy? Asking those that already had covid to still get vaccinated is madness.
I live in Florida. I put on my mask before going into the grocery store. Once past the cameras, I take off my mask.
Most customers wear masks but a sizeable minority do not.
The people who will get the worst of this long term are the ones who hid away from the world and diminished their immunity to more common ailments. Your immune system...use it or lose it.
The immune system is like the muscle system...it needs to be exercised regularly.
I eat the wild garlic cloves popping up in the yard. If some dirt comes along for the ride so much the better...adds flavor!
How does one know if another is vaccinated if there is no vaccination card and the person is without a mask?
Answer: Oh, that is right, it is called being normal and you don’t know and never will know.
Now get back out there, folks, and start being normal with no mask and no card. Isn’t freedom grand?!
If you are vaccinated or COVID-recovered it doesn’t matter about anyone else.

If we had herd immuned day one and used the zinc treatments and immune system bolsters, we would have been done in April 2020 and the deaths would have been far less, I’m thinking.
And President Trump would be well into his second term.
People with the antibodies and no vax should act the same!
Hate to hand anything to the Muslims but I read that at the Grand Mosque in Mecca they are only admitting men who are vaccinated “OR RECENTLY RECOVERED FROM COVID”.
Yup, the Muslims got something right...
