On Tuesday, Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz told the media that he wanted a packed Highmark Stadium for Buffalo Bills games in the fall, but that everyone that came to the stadium would need to show proof of vaccination with no exceptions. On Wednesday, New York State governor Andrew Cuomo walked back that assertion, contradicting his fellow Democrat and scolding him.
They’re backing off; I wonder what got them to do that?
Josh Allen is an anti vaxer.
I might just be a Business 101 thing; creating entry hurdles usually isn’t conducive to selling seats.
Looks like they want to nail any visiting fans as well..
Comes down to a simple balance sheet.
Calculate the number of people who will ONLY come if they “feel safe” by knowing that everyone is vaccinated.
Calculate the number of people who will ONLY come if they don’t have to take a COVID test or produce proof of vaccination.
Subtract.
I imagine they heard some of the stuff Coke and Delta got.
I would suspect that the number in the second group will be FAR larger than the number in the first one at a football or hockey game! Same story at most country music festivals/concerts, NASCAR races, MLB games, etc...
It will come down to money and I am hoping that the people who do NOT want to be forced to take part in an unapproved gene therapy experiment will make their voices heard loud and clear!
Are all the players vaccinated?

These are Buffalo fans. Whatever his faults may be, Cuomo is politically astute enough to know how to read a crowd.
For beta males touring the MET, your math might work.
You can’t build your business plan on pearl-clutchers.
Nope. Per NFL & NFLPA: jabs are optional.
... and Buffalo Golden Boy (a.k.a. Josh Allen) ain’t too cool with it.
Drama.

Naw. Public accommodation status makes them very vulnerable to discrimination suits, especially for disabled citizens denied access. Add to that POC’s and you have a legal and political firestorm brewing. Because the “good Gov” has been involved in the vaccine passport issue at a state level the state is also a target for lawsuits if anyone is denied access to the stadium.
There are likely people in the Buffalo Bill’s organization and stadium staff who won’t get vaccinated but especially law enforcement, fire and medical staff who refuse to be vaccinated as well.
Poloncarz: Erie County to rescind vaccine requirement for Buffalo Bills games, stadium events
Heavens no... That’s part of the big controversy around these parts. Scuttlebutt says the WR Cole Beasley is speaking for more than just himself. Also rumored QB J. Allen is not up for the jab either.
As far as the fan base, this is not the first time this hypocrite county executive has been taken out to the woodshed after running his mouth. The sports radio station are all pro-jabbers as per company policy, but I did notice them admitting they had a full board of callers, yet were hardly taking any.
Also, a lot of folks who have box seats here are doctors.you know how thrilled docs are about those jabs. Money talks and you know what walks.
No more Covid in upstate NY. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendscases
Cuomo’s pissed off cause every time he comes here we protest him.
Poloncarz slapped him when Cuomo wanted to take all the ventilators we had here for NYC
He doesn’t know what to do till the words come out of his mouth
from his twisted brain. I despise the man
