It wasn't an attack with a hypersonic weapon or cyber warfare, but it was targeted at the very heart of the United States. The first high-level meeting between U.S. and Chinese officials under the new Biden administration got underway in Alaska a few weeks ago, and America's standing in the world took center stage.
In his opening remarks, China's top diplomat took aim at our country's deeply divided politics and claimed America was, in effect, an unreliable world partner and a declining power. For the past few years, whispers and secondhand accounts indicated that China was saying this behind our back to other nations, but now this bubbled over into a direct confrontation on our soil.
Chief among the accusations is a troubling charge that the Chinese People's Party should be preferable to American democracy. That is ridiculous, however, we do have some challenges. Given the tensions between China and Taiwan that have escalated in recent days and weeks as it relates to accidental conflict or possible military action, it is imperative that the world continues to recognize the United States as a symbol of freedom in an increasingly complex world.

So, according to the CCP, the way out of being a “declining empire” is to unify behind a one-party CCP-driven system?
No thank you.
Same ol same ol Communist propaganda.
It’s about 100 years old now.
I suspect that top rulers in places like China, Russia, Germany, certainly UK, Mexico - know much more about what’s happening in Washington DC than peons like I do.
After all, its their job to know
And I think the conclusion among them must be that Joe Biden is a corrupted life-long politician and now Alzheimer’s patient, pushed forward by an increasingly radical democrat party and with the approval of the US permanent Federal bureaucracy / deep state.
We had a President who wanted America to be a great power, and pretty much every element of America's ruling elite came together as one to get rid of him, even to the extent of corrupting the ballot-counting process in a a national election.

Yeah I know. It’s actually hilariously pathetic.
“We had a President who wanted America to be a great power, and pretty much every element of America’s ruling elite came together as one to get rid of him, even to the extent of corrupting the ballot-counting process in a a national election.”
Aw, ya think? There is a large contingent of the cross-section of the American public that simply cannot STAND a general prosperity, and if there is not enough adversity in their lives, they have to go out and invent some.
The problem is that most of Amerika’s ruling elite are owned by the Chicoms and are doing their bidding. Now the Chicom’s “investments” in bribing American politicians of both parties are starting to pay big dividends.
The Chinese didn’t quite say that. They are right about America being a declining power. Most Europeans for example l, are convinced the Chinese will overtake the US in total GDP pretty soon.
Except the Chinese now have the second biggest economy on the planet to back that up, and are growing much faster than the US.
“Except the Chinese now have the second biggest economy on the planet to back that up, and are growing much faster than the US.”
Call in when it is five times larger than the U.S. economy.
It doesn’t really matter much how many times bigger the Chinese GDP becomes more than the US GDP.
What matters is the Chinese GDP getting bigger than the US GDP.
Ok comrade.
Russia currently has 250,000 troops ready to invade Ukraine. China has been making aggressive moves against Taiwan. G-d forbid they seize the opportunity to join forces against the US while our “President” is a demented fool and our military is busy purging patriots and embracing Wokeness.
That and they HATE America.
Let's look at an apples to apples comparison.
China has a GDP of ~$14.7T
The U.S. has a GDP ~$21T.
China has a population of ~1.4 BILLION
The U.S. has a population of ~330million
That means the U.S. has a GDP ~50% larger than China with 1/4th the population.
That's not to say the Chinese aren't an economic, military, or social threat. It doesn't say that the U.S. isn't on a decline.
However, it does show a stark difference (in America's favor) in economic output.
China also still has a significant gender gap with ~30 million more men than women and is facing decline in population growth (hence the push for a "2 child" policy), but an increase in the population's age.
One would expect a country with 4x the population to produce more, but the haven't/can't.....and with population troubles looming, I think it would be a long hard road for them to 'surpass' us economically in any meaningful sense.
How do America’s and China’s debt compare?
China is growing their GDP much faster than the US, producing far more engineers and scientists every year, is a bigger manufacturing power than the US etc etc.
Again it's not the GDP's today. Who will have a higher GDP in say 10 year's time?
About the per capita incomes..the Chinese have increased GDP per capita by huge amounts since back in the days of Mao and they continue to do so now and will continue to do so in the foreseeable.
