Knoxville, Tennessee, police officers are responding to Austin-East Magnet High School after it was reported that "multiple" people had been wounded during a shooting.
The Knoxville Police Department confirmed on Twitter that they received reports there were multiple gunshot victims at Austin-East Magnet High School. One of those victims is a police officer and the investigation is still ongoing.
For the time being, the police department is asking that people avoid the area.

Austin-East cheerleaders used to have a cheer that went:
“Who dat??? Who dat??? Who dat sayin’ dey gon beat A-E???”

Lot’s of shootings there in that specific area as of late. I’m betting Gang related and by that I mean organized gangs with out of town sponsors and hierarchy. Time for KPD to do what a former school superintendent did back in the 1970’s try to head off drug issues. She had undercover cops amongst the students. Knox County and City school system now consolidated used to have some decent leadership such as Doyle and Hoffmiester. Knoxville the past decade or more has had Dem mayors thus a DEM ran police dept.
United will be visiting soon, looking for flight school candidates.
In that neighborhood in the past year shootings have increased. By neighborhood I mean focused within a few blocks of the school. There have also been non school involved shootings/killings there.
Yes Austin and East were once different schools. But Knox County and Knoxville merged systems in the 80's IIRC and began a huge consolidation movement placing rival schools together in a campus too large to effectively control.
If you are a local my dad dad grew up in Lonsdale, Mechanicsville, and Lincoln Park. People got along. The mayor of Knoxville needs to put down the Liberal Kool aide cup and allow KPD to set up anti gang units along with an in school undercover program like Mildred Doyle did in county schools decades before.

Yeap Dad quit Rule as a Junior in about 1944 or so and joined the Navy in 1945. So you know about Londsdale Ham Huh? LOL I went to Halls for 3 years as an out of county student then transferred back to Norris High. I went to school there with the Inskip Elementary shooter. I was a few grades ahead of him.

Yeah this story has been officially dropped from the news, at least here locally..first it was top story but once they realized this was a gang bang shooting that happened, now its about Minneapolis and of course covid
