Virginia police pulled guns on a Black Army officer during a traffic stop and threatened to execute him in a parking lot, according to the serviceman's lawsuit and video of the encounter.
I feel sure the version of this event from the police will be very different from what this “black lieutenant” says.
Watch the entire encounter and then decide whether the suspect was cooperative.

I watched the video. This “officer” behaved like anything but and it looks as if he was looking for trouble and he got it by his non compliance.
It is against the law to refuse a legal order from a police officer and this was an appropriate stop and request by the Police.
Thanks. I would think driving on an Army base without a valid plate would quickly gain attention from the base MP’s.
“This driver was uncooperative and he physically resisted arrest. He deliberately caused a confrontation and then escalated it. It looks to me like he intended to provoke a reaction that he could then sue over and hopefully cash in, which is what he is now doing.”
Anyone who actually watched the video would see you are absolutely correct. This guy was looking for an altercation with the Police with the idea of cashing in on it.
You need to watch the video. The things you say are false.
We are losing our liberty because of unintelligent, ignorant, and dishonest people who don’t understand civilization.
He refused MULTIPLE requests from the Police to exit the vehicle. The police issued a LAWFUL order and the driver was bound to obey it.
This jerk was looking for a confrontation and a payday.
He said he was afraid to exit the car and the officers told him he should be afraid. So, the next time you get pulled over for no reason, you want a cop telling you that you should be afraid to exit the vehicle? You’re not really a friend of liberty.
It was a new car, paper licence in rear window. You can see it in video footage.
“He had in transit stickers. He just bought the vehicle. He was compliant with he law.”
Did you view the video? I did and it was Hidef. I looked purposefully for a temporary plate and there was NONE. Perhaps you can tell us where you got this info?
Yeah, on his brand new purchased car. It’s usually a paper sticker in the back glass or some such. Or maybe a paper dealer tag.
He wasn’t cited for having no plate nor for anything else.
And it is a nationwide standard that if a cop is pulling you over and you are suspicious of something that you may do as he did. Put on flashers, drop below the speed limit a bit and pull over in the next well lit area. He did that and it was about a minute and a half after the flashers came on. That is not excessive. Also he did not lead them to a dark area. He pulled into a gas station lot just ahead.
This was unprofessional of the cops in this case.
the word black is capitalized.
Sometimes written out (and said) as:
“Stop *BANG!* or I’ll shoot! *BANG!* *BANG!*”
“In what way was he uncooperative ?”
Are you serious? He refused at least a half dozen requests to gt out of the vehicle. He was actually arguing with the Police and simply ignored every attempt they made to talk him out of the vehicle.
And contrary to what the NBC story claimed there was NO temp plate visible on the rear window.
I watched it 3 times and enlarged it as well and I cannot see anything remotely resembling a temp tag. At what point in the video did you see it? Just give me the min/sec and I’ll go back and look
You are the prime example of that one.
He didn't instantly both:
a) "keep your hands up" and
b) "remove your seat belt and exit the vehicle"...
