If you are a student and plan on returning to Duke University next semester you will need to have proof that you got a COVID-19 vaccine.

Ohio has already given shots to all the elderly who wanted them. The age limit was dropped faster than expected so now anyone can sign up for an appointment to make sure that vaccines weren't being unused.

But based on the data from Israel, and the preliminary data from the UK, that’s the way to bet.

There is no clear model of spread, but it’s obvious to me (and I do this for a living) that airborne spread from asymptomatic people is the major driver.

There must be a tipping point when the concentration of virus in the air falls below a “magic number” that the pandemic collapses.

Co-worker is in the hospital with fluid in his lungs after the 2nd Moderna shot.....admitted via ER, swollen arm and trouble breathing. Called insurance co and asked what happens if I get the shot(s) and get ill or hospitalized. They said it is treated like a regular illness or disease. So ALL side effects are financially ON THE USER...FOREVER... with no legal recourse, none are listed on the gov’s “Vax Injury Fund” site as they are operating under EUA’s.

The US Supreme Court ruled (twice) that the Little Sisters of the Poor could not be compelled to pay for abortions as part of their health care plan and state officials (in Florida) forced them back to court. Even after Trump obtained legal protection for the Little Sisters in 2018, several states sued to challenge the exemptions for the nuns.

To have a religious exemption, you first and foremost have to live in a country that gives any credence to religion. (If you live here in the United States, then you don't live in such a country.)

Is it possible that a religious exemption may be granted? Perhaps. But if history is any guide, it will only be temporary; the political persecution will almost certainly become a religious one.

I honestly wonder if schools like Duke are perfectly OK with students using fake COVID vaccine papers. They may only be imposing this requirement to cover their own asses in case there’s an outbreak on campus.
