Those aren’t Daisy Dukes. Journalists use words they have no idea what they mean.
I can’t stand the shorts that go beyond mid thigh, never the ones to the knees, and the ones that go below the knee...well, can’t say what I think there.
And the long ones that are baggy?
Good God.
I don’t care for Ron Paul, but the characterization of the shorts as “Daisy Dukes” reeks of a hit job.
I agree with the other posters that he should have just thrown on a pair of slacks.
At 85, it’s a good idea to make yourself as comfortable as possible.
A lot of people at that age are prone and breathing through a tube.
What’s the big deal? I’ve done Zoom meetings where I had a coat and tie on above and shorts and sandals below. But, I have a built in camera that only shows my face and neck.
Maybe she and Ron could host the Academy Awards?
Jorts are not Daisy Dukes. Its an old guy Texas thing. The NYP wouldn’t understand.
If someone under 45 & non white wears them, its cultural appropriation.
(Sans-Culotte -- 'I probably should not have chosen the screen name of Sans-Culotte, because most think it merely means "without pants" Actually, it is French for "without knee breeches"')
His legs would shame hers.
:D
Oh, bless you!
Now I don’t have “You wear it well” stuck in my head anymore.
But...
;D
What did he have when they thought he had a stroke a few months ago?
Or so Sans-Culotte would have us believe.
;D
Right.
Nothing wrong with that. Nothing at all.
On a side note: I loved watching Vince Wilfork, this huge blubbery guy, play football. One of the most massive men ever in the league, and for his size, unbelievably athletic. You wouldn't think it was possible. There were reports he played at a weight of 375-400 lbs, but whenever someone from the team was asked, it was ALWAYS 325 lbs. But everyone acknowledged he was far bigger than that at various stages of his career.
But it was his persona that was so much fun to watch as a player. He seemed like a genuinely good guy, and had a marvelous sense of humor as the images above show. He was a great leader, nobody gave him guff.
Well. I enjoyed that then. But no more for me.
Could be worse. At least it wasn’t: business from the waist up, and jeffrey tobin from the waist down !
and done well thank you lord Jesus for the Southern USA
I never heard that term before. I learned something new.
Long shorts for men & shorter than short for women — finally, some fashion ‘rules’ I can live with.
You are correct, Sir. :)
