Those are not cut-up-to-the-ctotch Daisy Dukes, they are hemmed denim camp shorts with a 10 inch inseam.

Many, many years ago, I took a pair of my dad’s castoff jeans and made some “Daisy Dukes” out of them.
The pockets hung out like flaps, I cut them so short.
We went down to the marina where we kept our little cabin cruiser, one summer, and imagine my horror when my dad, bless his heart, stepped aboard the boat wearing my shorts, that he’d pulled out of the laundry mom had just done.

Not to promote old men wearing hip crap, I have a cutoff pair of bib overalls and water shoes for fishing. It helps when I’m loading my jet boat. You just make sure your junk stays covered.
