Stephanie Nana, an evangelical Christian in Edmond, Oklahoma, refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine because it contains “aborted cell tissue.” Nathan French, who leads a nondenominational ministry in Tacoma, Washington, said he received a divine message that God was the ultimate healer and deliverer: “The vaccine is not the savior.”
Lauri Armstrong, a Bible-believing nutritionist outside of Dallas, said she did not need the vaccine because God designed the body to heal itself, if given the right nutrients. More than that, she said, “It would be God’s will if I am here or if I am not here.”
The deeply held spiritual convictions may vary. But across white evangelical America, reasons not to get vaccinated have spread quickly. The sheer size of the community poses a major problem for the country’s ability to recover from a pandemic that has resulted in the deaths of half a million Americans. And evangelical ideas and instincts have a way of spreading, even internationally.
There are about 41 million white evangelical adults in the U.S. About 45% said in late February that they would not get vaccinated against COVID-19, making them among the least likely demographic groups to do so.
“If we can’t get a significant number of white evangelicals to come around on this, the pandemic is going to last much longer than it needs to,” said Jamie Aten, founder and executive director of the Humanitarian Disaster Institute at Wheaton College, an evangelical institution in Illinois.
The “shot” they are pushing daily reminds of Jim Jones.

Just wait 1 to 3 years...
The steady drumbeat of antichristian bigotry.
It’s an interesting story to write about why people may refuse the vaccine, if they would just get rid of their religious and ethnic slander and cringe worthy biases.
A lot of Freepers would join in this fascist opinion.
Man those White Evangelicals at it again...
Racists, “Anti Science “, and Patriarchal...
What will dems do with them?
A post yesterday linked to an article about a professor of medicine, an MD, who warned against vaccination of people who already had COVID-19. He referenced the adverse events and people who already had Covid-19 were over represented. They can develop auto-immune disorders.
A lot already have
Just shut up and drink your Kool Aid, you racist, white religious fanatic.
Well, I choose to not be vaccinated, so I “blame” myself for not being vaccinated. But a better word would be “responsible”. I take responsibility for my own health and the outcome of my choices.
The steady drumbeat of antichristian bigotry.
This is being pushed by Ruth Graham, Franklin Graham,
and Wheaton College Humanitarian Disaster Institute...It is a Christian College with ties to Grahams...
Should add that the NYT article referenced by Citizens Free Press was co-authored by Ruth Graham.
They are trying hard to ignore The Nation of Islam

Odd, isn't it?
What makes me sick about this is only 2 religions are criticized. If the religion has to do w/Jesus Christ or his patriarchs then we are fair game. Other religions - crickets.
We've seen this is Red China, in Russia, and the Eastern Block nations, too.
One big difference is that most of American Christians are armed and are not John Piper pacifists.

Gee and a couple weeks ago, polling claimed was MAGA Trumpsters who were the clog in the mechanism...

So, say US population is 300 million or so, that makes the number of evangelicals who don’t want the vaccine only 18.45 percent of the population. Vaccinate everyone else and you’ll be at 71.5% immunity, which should be plenty for “herd immunity” to be achieved, especially since a good number of those evangelicals already got COVID and have antibodies.
