In case you missed it yesterday, First Lady Jill Biden botched her Spanish during an event celebrating labor union organizer Cesar Chavez.
But that wasn't the only problem. During her remarks, the First Lady stood in front of Chavez' infamous black eagle flag. Chavez used Nazi propaganda and colors as the inspiration for the symbol.
"The story of the black eagle, the movement’s symbol, exemplifies Chavez’s skill as a tactician. He researched emblems, including cigarette boxes and Nazi flags, and concluded that the most potent color combination was red, black and white. He picked the eagle and directed his brother to draw the bird so simply that anyone could easily replicate the symbol," the Smithsonian states.

It is never, ever a good idea to pander to a group of people by attempting to speak a language you don’t at least know a few tourist phrases of-donde esta el bano, etc. Jill Biden’s mauling of Spanish is worthy of ridicule...
I thought it was a Polish inspired flag.
That’s Not a NAZI flag. Are you people obsessed with NAZIs?
I grew up in CA where Cesar Chavez Day is a state holiday, and assumed that was widely known. Saul Alinski and Fred Ross founded “Community Service Organization”, the organization that trained community organizers and agitators in Alinsky’s tactics. Ross was more the “West Coast” guy, and worked closer with Chavez than Alinsky, but Cesar Chavez was most definitely an “Alinskyite” and a prodigy of Saul’s. Chavez left CSO to found the UFW, fully trained. There is plenty written about Chavez, Alinsky, Ross and CSO, but you would have to visit some hardcore leftist sites (or books) to read about it.
Just like every other feminist who made it to the top the old fashioned way.
Organic Panic has hit the nail square on the head. Chavez was WAY over rated, extremely exalted. He really never helped anyone. Guilty white people made him famous, but he really never carried much weight.
Rd later.
Esta mujer es una idiota.
Dr. Jill es una idiota.
This is strange to me.
How out of touch do you have to be, to not have heard this expression many times in recent years?
You don’t even have to speak any Spanish to get it right, if you’ve been paying any attention and aren’t just reading words on a teleprompter - words that somebody else wrote! - for a video op.
