“That’s what the propagandists know… If the same thing is said over and over again, regardless of how untrue it is, it ultimately sinks in,” says Sharyl Attkisson.
A five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Attkisson never imagined she would see her profession become plagued by the bias and censorship she now sees in media today. How did things get to this point?
Tonight, we discuss the proliferation of third-party fact-checkers, how big tech is controlling online discourse, and what she expects will happen if Trump launches his own social media platform.

Facebook blocked Jovan Pulitzer from discussing how to verify ballots, they said he is not an expert.
Go Sharyl.
“they said he is not an expert.”
Ironic. Just about everyone the left holds up as an ‘expert’ is not.
The Democrat party and Main Stream Media are one intellectualy and structurally. They do conspire together on how to present the news.
Oddly in Orwell’s great book 1984, the media was a function of The State and took direction from the The State. Today the media needs no direction from The State as it is a functional part of The State.
There is not Pravada in Pravada.
The Democrat Party today is functionally acting as communists. Some at the top realize this and they really are communists. Those below are simply useful idiots.
You can vote your way into communism. You can only fight your way out with guns, death and blood. It is most sad.
One of the most striking things I’ve seen locally is almost of “fact checking” by the local CBS or Fox affiliate has stopped. Before you could count on at least one or two articles a day fact checking something Trump or some other Republican said. Now the report on something Biden said as if it is gospel.
The last “fact check” they did was on the Georgia voting war where the headline screamed it was illegal to give voters in line water. You had to read through five or six paragraphs before they finally admitted it was illegal for candidates to give voters water but poll workers could set up water stations.
The business model has changed. The media have determined that the best way to make money is to decide on the type of audience you want to cater to and then arrange a narrative that will appeal to their biases.
First formulate the narrative, and then look for stuff that will support it. If you can’t find anything supportive, then make it up. In other words, tell your preferred audience what they want to hear. Give’em red meat.
Old-fashioned journalism (just the facts, from all sides) not profitable enough.
Somebody credible needs to start a website where they fact check the so-called fact checkers.
Sharyl is always good. Thanks for the link.
Love Sharyl’s work. Saw
Continued from my last post which was unfinished. I saw her in person and I really enjoyed her intelligent, courageous, thoughtful presentation and her honesty. She was asked if she had received her computer drive back yet (it was years later) from the Obama administration and she said no. Not sure how many remember how they went after her.
Yes. Well put. And let’s not forget social media. The trifecta—Democratic Party, mainstream media (which I will include in this Hollywood), social media. One head three outlets.
"Social media fact check:"
and
"NOT REAL NEWS: A look at what didn’t happen this week "
Both supplied by, who would have guessed? Assorted Propaganda"
AP is just SO non-partisan the liberals bleat, just a news gatherer.
I bought her book that documented it.
