A 29-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder for the fatal road-rage shooting of a Manheim woman while she and her husband were headed to the beach last week for vacation, authorities announced Thursday.
Dejywan R. Floyd was driving down Interstate 95 in Lumberton, North Carolina, around 11:40 a.m. March 25 when Ryan and Julie Eberly’s GMC Yukon came close to Floyd’s Chevrolet Malibu as they merged lanes, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Floyd pulled alongside the Yukon’s passenger side and fired several shots through the window, then got off the highway at an upcoming exit.
Ryan Eberly pulled off the highway and waited for medical assistance, but 47-year-old Julie Eberly, who’d been sitting in the passenger seat, died.
Authorities said the couple’s six children weren’t along on the trip. Ryan Eberly said in a statement he and his wife were planning to celebrate their wedding anniversary with friends who got married at the same time.

Floyd was arrested at about 12:38 a.m. Thursday at the Parkview Apartments in Lumberton.
In addition to the murder charge, Floyd is charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied property. He is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond and has a first-appearance hearing Thursday morning, authorities said.

Sound’s like the perp’s car was in the victim’s husband’s blind spot and got moved over. Perp had a chip on his shoulder and shot into the offending vehicle as a result. Yet another example of why folks should be ever careful when driving through Amish country.
I was doing a nice pass behind two vehilces, one a big truck and one a pickup....it was Wyoming and I was going 80mph....without even looking the pickup pulled out and forced me on off the road unto the grass...he never even looked....luckily, I was able to maintain and kept from going completely off the road down the hill....
If you are forced off the road, the proper response is to speed up, roll down your window scream profanities and flip them the bird. NOT SLING LEAD!! At least thats what happens to me all the time..

The pick up driver will keep on playing that game until somebody turns the tables on him.
Some people will quickly become mad enough to act wrecklessly. They know their auto will likely get scratched or dented up in pursuit of their target; people like this pick up driver, but at that moment, the offended driver doesn’t give a toss.
They become a heat seeking missile, ready to ‘set the record straight!’. I have known people like this.

They had a good picture of the suspect car and knew it had NC license plates. They had a description of him as a black man with dreadlocks. They probably narrowed it down through NC car registrations and DMV pictures.
