article: "a quality problem at a Baltimore plant"

Quality is a White Man concept used to keep the Black Man down! Quality is part of systemic racism!!!.

The site is not yet authorized by the FDA to make the drug substance used in the vaccine.

Thank goodness Fauci and the Poopiepants Puppet didn't push to get that batch into the arms of 15 million potential victims.

Remember way back when everything made in Japan was suppose to be crap? Now, it’s just the opposite. With our evolving demographics the phrase “Made in America” has taken a hit.

The “quality problem” is clearly with the quality of one or more workers. And I bet they won’t be fired.

I know someone who works at Lonza. Lonza is the company making the Moderna vaccine. These batches are cooked up in huge stainless steel vats not that much different than the vats you see at the Budweiser brewery.

So, if someone in production contaminates one of the batches somehow, then 5000 gallons of this stuff is No F*ckin good. It is time to start again cooking from scratch.

This is a long way before it ever get put in the little glass bottles that they stick the syringe in at Walgreens or CVS

Reminds me from the scene in “Back to the Future”. Doc Brown noticed that some electronic item broke. He flipped it over and said no wonder it is Made in Japan.
Marty then states that all the best stuff is Made in Japan.
Classic irony of how attitudes had change in 30 years.

FYI, I have a Panasonic stereo system I bought 44 years ago. I brought it home from my mom’s house when she passed away a couple years ago. It now sits on the bench in my garage. It still cranks.

I work in quality.

The issue is likely not an issue of a “low quality “ worker.

The issue is more likely inadequate procedures developed very quickly or even on the fly. Everyone wants to cash in on Covid.

There’s a saying in quality that if there’s a problem, it’s not because of human error but an error in the system. The vast majority of people want to do a good job. Sometimes companies make it difficult by poor planning.

Unlikely, security is pretty tight at big pharma companies.
These contracts to manufacture these drugs are worth millions of dollars. Plus there are only a few companies in the US capable of making these on such a large scale(millions of doses in a very short time).

A screw up like this makes this company look bad. It could cost them a major contract with J&J or some other company in the future. Most likely somebody just made a mistake and it was not caught until it was too late.

Most drug patent holders with the exception of Phizer do not
have the manufacturing capacity to actually produce the drugs they sell especially in the volume that the governments of the world ordered.

These covid vaccines are all biologics. They actually grow them. It is not a pill made of a bunch of powdered chemicals like Viagara or Lipitor.

Yes, I have learned a lot about how they make this crap from the person who is employed in the industry.
