I recently started a new job working for a Department of Energy Contractor. Every morning when I check my email, I get to read words of wisdom from our lovely Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm. Here is what we were treated with this morning. Obamination is back in high gear.
Apparently, International Transgender Day of Visibility is April Fool's Day.

Subject: Always in Your Corner: International Transgender Day of Visibility
During today's International Transgender Day of Visibility, as the Secretary of Energy I celebrate the courage of our transgender and gender nonconforming employees and contractors. Yet, even as we stand in solidarity and support with transgender and gender nonconforming people, we also acknowledge the work that needs to be done to achieve acceptance and justice for these people and communities - especially for transgender people of color, who often face harassment, oppression, violence, and murder. Our transgender colleagues and neighbors matter. And DOE will stand by you.
Our employee resource group, GLOBE, has done important work over the past decades to be a catalyst for inclusion and conversation at headquarters. Additionally, National Lab LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Groups have created guides for National Lab managers and coworkers around equity and inclusion for transgender and gender nonconforming people. You can learn more here with these examples:
*Berkeley Lab's Lambda Alliance Guide: https://diversity.lbl.gov/gender-identity-and-transition/
*Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Prism Guide: https://www.pnnl.gov/diversity-inclusion
I will also be uplifting this important day with posts on our social media accounts at @ENERGY and @SecGranholm on Twitter, and Facebook. I encourage you to express your support for the trans community in person and on social media too, in your personal time.
On day one of this job, I told you that diversity, inclusion, and equity strengthens our workforce. On this International Transgender Day of Visibility, I promise you that I will be a booster and fierce advocate, and will always be in your corner.

How fitting that it’s April 1
Apparently it was yesterday.
But what does it even mean? All transgender people were supposed to “come out” and make themselves visible?
Sad. Now it’s courageous to display your mental illness and the twisted actions it produces. Our society and its’ norms continue to decay. Like Rome, the ‘barbarians’ will just walk in and take over.
Yeah, it’s National Dress Like Fred Flintstone In A Skirt Day - everybody join in!
LoL
How long, oh Lord, will You allow these people continue to mock You?
Arrive on time for your appointment at the nearest cuddle puddle location.
And this coming out of the Department of .... Energy.
Aight......OMFG.
I read recently on the electric computer than someone in Hollywood made the news by announcing they were “pans” gender - not trans-gender; pans-gender.
Let me ask your question again: “But what does it even mean?”
a nation is toast when its government celebrates perversion, mental illness and devil worship
Someone can insist that he or she is a turnip, and I will not dispute their impression of themselves.
But please, do not insist that I must believe that you are a turnip.
It shows she really has her priorities in order. /sarc
Good morning tyranny. I do not stand with transgender. I am terrified of those wicked perverts.
Open their fly and air their differences
>>Sad. Now it’s courageous to display your mental illness and the twisted actions it produces. <<
Next up:
* Bulemia/Anorexia toss your cookies in public day
* Body Integrity Disorder public lopping of limbs day
* Bipolar disorder scream at everyone day
* Multiple personality disorder I didn’t do it day
The department of “energy” should not be promoting Whack Your Wang Days or Butcher Your Boobs Days. It should be working on assuring that our industrialized society has enough energy to function.
