The assailant accused of beating an Asian woman to the ground and kicking her in the head while onlookers did nothing was remanded Wednesday night at his arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Brandon Elliot, 38, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault as a hate crime and one count of attempted assault in the first degree as a hate crime in an attack prosecutors called “heinous and unprovoked” as they requested he stay behind bars.
“At about 11:40 a.m. Monday morning, the victim was on her way to church when the defendant approached her on the street, cursed at her, told her she didn’t belong here, called her an Asian something … and kicked her in the chest, knocking her to the ground and proceeded to stomp on her head,” Assistant District Attorney Courtney Razner told Judge Paul McDonnell.

But, but... isn’t this a “White Supremacist Hate Crime?”
Why aren’t there more jumpers leaping to conclusions about this thing? Oh, yeah... the attacker wasn’t whi... shhhh, nothing to see here. Move along. Lower that camera. Move along.
Black on Asian hate crime being relegated to same coverage status as black on black crime.
Who could live in Manhattan without concealed carry, with these guys wandering around homeless?
( further into thread article)
“Elliot, who’s been living at a Midtown hotel that doubles as a homeless shelter, spent nearly two decades at an upstate prison before Monday’s attack. He was found guilty of murder for killing his mother with a kitchen knife in front of his five-year-old sister in their Bronx home in 2002 when he was 19-years-old.”
Clearly the guy is a victim of white supremacy /s
They should give him two years in prison, when he gets back to Attica the Asians are gonna see that ends up a life sentence and a short one at that.
On parole for modern? Bye bye. You’re going back to prison for a very long time.
Modern = murder.
He was granted lifetime probation in 2019. He was currently living in a hotel that is also used as a shelter for homeless New Yorkers. So, what was his source of income for the past two years? Did he have a job? What was the source of his medical care for the past two years? Where and how did he obtain food? Why don’t any news reports answer any of these questions? If he was still a total ward of the government for all of his basic needs, then why was he not left in prison? If parole and probation boards could be held personally liable for their mistakes, there would be no mistakes.
So the bad guy watches TV News so he knows who to hate.
So they are continuing with the hate crime story.
I figured once he was IDed, it would be spun totally different. More sympathetic for the attacker.
Seems I owe $20 to a buddy of mine.
