The U.S. command that oversees Navy SEALs, Green Berets, Delta Force and other covert warriors has hired its first “chief of diversity and inclusion.” “USSOCOM welcomes our new Chief of Diversity & Inclusion, Mr. Richard Torres-Estrada,” said the command, which directs about 70,000 elite troops, both active and reserve, as well as a civilian workforce. “We look forward to his contribution in enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of #SOF through diversity of talent, helping us recruit the best of the best.”

A F#$*ing civilian telling special ops to be nice to each other while they blow things up. That’s just wonderful.
Diversify the SOF all you want, you know those certain candidates will always struggle with the water course.
These people are serious as a heart attack. And perhaps even more deadly, in regards to our ability to insert special operations personnel into high-risk operations.
The Russians, Chinese and Iranians will be waltzing around the remains of our special operations. There will be no “diversity of talent”, only diversity of demographic specimens. Many of whom would never, in the wildest expectation, ever manage to get through the standards so recently used in selection of the “best of the best”.
