NBC News anchor Lester Holt received praise from liberal media figures after saying reporters don’t need to hear both sides of a story before determining the "truth." "I think it’s become clear that fairness is overrated ... the idea that we should always give two sides equal weight and merit does not reflect the world we find ourselves in," Holt said on Tuesday night while accepting an award at the 45th Murrow Symposium. Lester Holt... High School graduate.
Go to wiki and search “moron”.
Lester’s picture is there.
Especially when neo-Marxist reporters try to explain Conservative issues.
Well, probably access, but he’s right about “equal merit”. One of the sides is based on principle and logic and they other is liberal unicorn flatulence. So yeah, you can’t pretend that’s a valid argument.
That statement demonstrates stone age totalitarian thinking. Nothing else. Is the news media an enemy of democracy and the American people? They have done everything in their power to achieve these goals, so why should we deny them their just due? Now, we have to decide what that is.
post-truth
ADJECTIVE
relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.
I disagree.
The Democrat Party is the political wing of the Main Stream Media.
If I don’t have to listen to both sides, his ain’t going to be the one I do listen to.
Both his viewers are reconsidering.
WTF?!
Only totalitarian closed minded bigots think this way.
Let the truth be found by seating Lester in the witches’ dunking chair.
Lester, what the hell is truth?
“I think it’s become clear that fairness is overrated ... the idea that we should always give two sides equal weight and merit does not reflect the world we find ourselves in,” Holt said

Orwell smiles.
I think “hearing both sides” on an issue is a completely separate thing from just regular fact/truth reporting. Maybe hearing both sides should be reserved for only political arguements
I think we get in trouble when basic facts change based on your political persuasion and we end up with certain groups of conservatives living in self created alternative realities
Excellent.
My attitude has been, "What is fair about being balanced when the Democrats are on the other side?"
You don’t balance the notion that males who want to be females should dominate girl’s sports. You just point and laugh. Why should the insane be given equal voice to the sane?
Is anyone surprised? The truth is not the issue. Neither is merit anymore.
Lester wants to keep his job at NBC. Is that taught these days in journalism schools?
good quote
Ha ha! EXACTLY!
