Around the world, every minute of every day, three million masks are tossed out. Let that sink in. THREE million masks are tossed out every MINUTE.
Every single day, on average, a little over four billion — with a “b” — masks are thrown out.

That number will be going up as people go to wearing two and three masks at a time
Unintended consequences of our zeal to have everyone wear masks?
It’s finally caused a rift between me and my 40 year old daughter. That is another cost. She has a “people who don’t wear masks are gonna kill us all” attitude. Yeah, she’s the woke one in the family.
It’s sad, and I don’t throw that word out a lot.
we should all just stop breathing cause everything we do is bad, bad, nothing but bad
We obviously need a ‘Federal Department of Mask Recycling’. And it should be a cabinet-level department.
I’m so glad that none of my kids are “woke”
One could probably go that way but she has too much sense.
My daughter was 16 when her mother and I divorced. I learned after the divorce that my then wife had always been a closet liberal. And I mean hard core feminist. She hid it for over 20 years. But she influenced my three daughters quite a bit.
I see masks in parking lots wherever I go. By the time I get out of a grocery store I have cleaned my nose numerous times. I take them home and throw them in the trash. One day Archaeologists will bring COVID back to life.
I’m doing my part. Still have the surgical mask with two layers removed that I’ve had since the start of this nonsense, and I haven’t even worn that for months now.
I make home ade masks out of discarded plastic straws, then I discard the masks daily
That means three million masks have to be put on the market each MINUTE! OVER FOUR BILLION A DAY have to be made! People have jobs making those masks!
If the pandemic is alleviated that means people making masks will be out of work! so, THE FEAR OF A PANDEMIC MUST CONTINUE!
Would YOU take the bread out of a mask maker’s mouth by breathing unfiltered air?
OK. WE NEED AN ENVIRONMENTAL LOCKDOWN. GAIA WILL BE VERY DISPLEASED WITH ALL THE POLLUTION.
No proles allowed outside for ANYTHING, not for food, not for work, not for medical treatment, not for exercise, and ESPECIALLY not for CHURCH! NOTHING. This pollution pandemic MUST CEASE!
Only the most ‘elite’ of the ‘elite’, our ‘betters’, MUST be allowed their freedom to run the world. Once 90% of the population has expired, THEN can freedoms be restored. How else can Wee Willy G., of computer and poisonous vaccine fame, get his 700 million world population?

(May actually be closer to reality than we can imagine, at least about the mindset of Wee Willy G.)
I do not like litter and the root of my dislike is not environmental impact. With that said, there are multiple major problems with articles like these. 1.) The is no scientific proof that masks provide protection against the ChiCom virus. In fact, there is substainial evidence that prolonged mask use is unhealthy. 2.) Throwing garbage away is not an enviromental problem. Landfills represent a very minute portion of the earth’s landmass. Most people have a major problem understanding the size of things. Landfills can be filled, expanded or created to handle our waste. No one would be the wiser if it wasn’t used as a political tool. Incinerators can be used to eliminate our waste. There is no such thing as man-made global warming. Like landfills, this has become a political tool. Waste management is a fundamental health need that should not be politicized. 3.) Articles that accept the premise that masks should be used to fight against the ChiCom virus build a false economic reality. The expense of masks is and inefficient use of money. Every dollar spent on masks is a dollar not spent on other products and services that are provided by productive American workers. Instead people who purchase masks enrich ChiComs, as they are the major supplier of masks in the world.
I’ve been carrying 3 cheap masks in my pocket since last April. One finally gave out - the “fabric” just started to shred.
I don’t understand how sticking discarded straws up your nose would be help.
I’d love to contribute to this “environmental nightmare”. I think I will. Just drop the mask anywhere I please. Maybe
“they” will stop insisting we wear them everywhere.
it doesnt i just like to do it
