FEMA said the COVID-19 funeral assistance program will be implemented starting in April and applications will be accepted at that time. They are currently working to establish a phone number where applications can be filed. To qualify, applicants must meet certain conditions.
In the meantime before applications are accepted, people with COVID-19 funeral expenses are encouraged to gather and keep documentation, FEMA said. Additional guidance will be released to potential applicants and community partners once finalized.
Assistance is limited to a maximum of $9,000 per funeral and a maximum of $35,500 per application per state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Additional information is available on the FEMA website.

So if the “Covid disaster’ is a legitimate cause for the government to shell out $9,000 dollars, essentially for that death, then is it not “discrimination” for the government to not always shell out $9,000 dollars whenever someone days?
Are Covid-19 deaths:
(a) more the government’s fault somehow
(b) more important somehow
(c) more tragic somehow
(d) privileged?????
Compared to many other tragic deaths???
Aha good point!
Perhaps this is a way to discourage family members of, say, a traffic accident victim who was listed as dying from the Chinese evil spirit (Covid) from going to the media to argue that it wasn’t a Chinese evil spirit (Covid) death.
Crazy
Odd
Violent
Individual
Dead
My local restaurant has been serving the flesh of dead animals for months now!
That’s it, I’m taking Grandma to New York for vacation.
Just have the doc to write that the deceased had covid.
The government says you can’t see your parents
The government says you can’t have a real funeral
But if you do, the government will give you money.
Makes sense.
George Floyd. Larger in death than in life.
We all have or had COVID at some point in our lives. Ever had a cold? Then you had one of the Coronas.
Another side to this is that many funeral homes didn’t provide a homegoing (or home-going) service. This service is an African-American Christian funeral tradition marking the going home of the deceased to the Lord or to heaven. It is a celebration that has become a vibrant part of African American history and culture and is still being offered by some today. But not all just like some funeral homes do not offer cremation.
My wife and I opted to do cremation and we are going through a company specific for that service as that is what they do, period. So not always is money or skin color part of the equation for racial segregation. In a lot of cases, especially in the south, homegoing is the preferred service and they only want that so they are choosing their own path. Just like shopping for anything. And you generally can’t find a new Cadillac Escalade on a Subaru dealership lot.

I am a patriot that is going to find out the enemy’s plan to grift money out of our taxes and figure out how that money stream can be diverted to the patriot cause.
If you are on this forum and you don’t believe that the Feds ae using our own money against us then you are a follower.
It is every patriot’s duty to figure out how to liberate our tax money from our oppressors and to use it against them.
thanks
If I was cynical I would think the government wanted a higher death toll from Covid and by offering fee money to the family of someone they (the family) claimed to have died from Covid they (the government) will get it.
