No surprises here:

The group with the highest church membership was Republicans, at 65%.
Just 46% of Democrats are church members.
The group with the lowest percentage of membership was liberals at 35%.

Republicans must back Trump or they die.

Churches must preach the Bible, and not some ‘woke’ versions or they’ll die.

Happening now.

The Catholic Bishops locked down the Churches before they were ordered by the government. Most Catholic Churches still have crazy restrictions - masks - tickets - every other pew is blocked off.

Families who left will not be back.

maybe this will be the catalyst for strong, Bible based teachers to rise up. Church leadership is currently VERY weak.

Liberalism is poisonous to religion, and every religion that embraces it signs its own death warrant. As in all denominations, liberalism in the Catholic Church has been chiefly responsible for its decline over the past 50 years. Do the cardinals and bishops recognize that? A few do, but most don’t. Most of ‘em aim to double or triple down on the very liberalism that caused the problems in the first place.

The left has systematically infiltrated and split through schism, every major religion in the US. Since conservatives rejected this, they were the ones who had to leave, the leftists greedily clutching the church assets.

But though smaller, the conservative churches are returning to their core values, and as such will become stronger and more resilient over time; as the leftist side loses both congregants and the assets they squander.

The so called corporate guilt like BLM induced guilt will destroy a lot of churches.

No one in our family ever owned a slave, no grandparent nor great grand parent.

We are not guilty of any sins that might have been done centuries before us!

I do not get the self-proclaimed difference between Democrat
and Liberal.

Look at who their political leaders are, and tell me any of
us could look ourselves in the mirror knowing our votes helped
usher that in.

Democrats are filth. Period.

The sooner they grasp that, the sooner they can move on to
a wholesome nation loving group.

How many were Christian anyway? How many were just social worshipers?

I fear what is coming. I don’t fear for myself, but my children.

Maybe we're sorting ourselves early.

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory,
and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate
people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.
34 Then the King will say to those on his right,
‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me,
I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
...
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire
prepared for the devil and his angels.
42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me,
sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’
...
46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

and more, especially younger adults, are claiming to have no affiliation with any religion.

I disagree. They are rabid adherents of the Church of Woke, complete with the religious trappings of shunning (canceling), confession and atonement (groveling apology), and tithing (donations to BLM).

We’ve been unhappy with the ongoing leftward tilt of our church for some time. It’s been closed due to COVID and then a preventable structural problem. The new rector started a little over a year ago. He checks off all the ‘woke’ boxes, and he’s also a weak leader. We’re not interested in zoom church. We won’t be supporting it financially, and we’re looking elsewhere. My only hesitation is that I like a few of the members of my women’s circle and will miss that. One of our sons was baptized there and we have family memories there, but the changes have just been of the type to drive us away. We’ve gotten out of the habit of attending now, but if we find a suitable congregation we’ll consider returning to it.
