For years we have been hearing about a coming storm. It was to be biblical and would bring pain to members of the deep state ruling class who, after exposure, would not be able to walk down the streets.
The storm was to begin with spygate, a coordinated effort among top officials in the nation’s justice and intelligence agencies, to prevent Donald Trump’s election; then after failing, to undermine his transition, cripple his presidency, then stop his reelection, the latter goals achieved.
Then there were crimes against humanity: child abuse, trafficking, and the like, all to be exposed via the Anthony Weiner laptop or the Jeffrey Epstein cabal. Both seem distant memories now. In fact, we are now going in the opposite direction with the Biden administration suspending FBI background checks for migrant children caregivers.
We have lived in the “calm before the storm” for years and to this day it remains calm. There are no storm clouds building, nothing on the horizon. The forecast is for sunshine and a light breeze, only enough to supposedly knock President Biden to the ground three times while he feebly attempted to ascend a short staircase.
Many of us, myself included, thought there would be an eventual reckoning. We believed this was one of President Trump’s primary goals as president, to drain the swamp. He made it clear before he was even elected what his intentions were. From a speech in October 2016,

No matter how many judges Trump appointed, the system is still aligned against us. Many of those judges are already failing to defend individual liberty and constitutional order.
I predicted in January of 2021 that Trump would not run in 2024. I stand by that prediction. He may support a proxy, but they will not stand a chance against the aligned forces of global communism who are marching forward to collapse our nations so they can be re-ordered under a unified leadership.

the Q video did say it was a war and it ‘looked like’ the good guys were winning. but it wasn’t over.

Nobody had Trump's back. Many FReepers believed Q and sat on their asses believing we live in a TV episode where there is a happy ending and all the bad guys are rounded up.
We knew the GOP was horribly flawed and looked down on conservatism. But many believed that they would back Trump if given majorities in Congress. Once again, we were fooling ourselves.
We thought there was enough conservative media to offset the NYT, Wash Post, ABC, CNN, etc. We did not see the polarized nature of news viewers that chose the broadcast that reinforced their politics. In the end, we did not educate nor persuade any sizeable numbers of citizens to join our cause.
We underestimated the size of our opposition. We thought conservatism was growing and did not see the dependency and gutlessness of so many.
In the past, wealth was created via capitalism and innovation. Today, it is made by gov't contracts and alliances with deep state politicians....no innovation is required.
The American experiment is over. Man's thirst for power is stronger than logic and reason. The insidious nature and incredible patience of those who hunger for power and wealth is far stronger than humanity's love of individual liberty.
They took over education, sowed distrust among the citizenry and distracted our attention away from their corruption.
