Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas fired most members of the department’s independent advisory council on Friday, a purge that included several allies of former president Donald Trump and veteran officials who served under both parties.
Former Department of Homeland Security officials and advisory board members who worked under Democratic and Republican administrations said they could not remember so many members being dismissed at once, as the general practice of past administrations was to allow appointees to serve out their terms before replacing them....The removal of more than 30 board members comes as the Biden administration tries to rid the department of Trump-era policies and practices, especially on immigration...

He is trying to bring back the "spoils system" with a view to establishing one-party rule.
I thought "independent commissions" were "independent". Established by Congress and solely responsible TO Congress.
I can't see how this is even remotely legal.
The Bush Family and even Tom Ridge turned on Trump. Guess this is what they wanted for the country too. The RINO class worked to get Biden elected.
Can Biden and his comrades do anything right for the country?
The biggest mistake is for Republicans to continue dismissing these actions as ignorance or ineptitude on the part of the Obama-Harris-Biden White House.
These are not actions for which the country can afford to wait until the next fixed election to undo. The battle over the Georgia state house is your welcome to reality slap in the face.
