Parler Just Flipped Big Tech's Jan. 6 Conspiracy Theory on Its Head

In the days after the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, Big Tech moved against a conservative alternative social media platform, Parler, based on the premise that the rioters has used Parler to plan the attack on the Capitol and that Parler had failed in its responsibility to prevent such coordination. Based on this narrative, Apple and Google removed Parler from their app stores and Amazon removed Parler’s internet hosting. Yet on Thursday, Parler flipped the narrative on its head.

On Thursday, Parler sent a response to the House Committee on Oversight and Reform’s request for documents regarding the riot, the company explained in a press release. In that response, Parler revealed that it had “proactively developed an open line of communication with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the fall of 2020 and referred violent content and incitement from Parler’s platform over 50 times before January 6th. Parler also warned the FBI about specific threats of violence being planned for the events at the Capitol on January 6th.”

The letter details Parler’s efforts “to flag and remove unlawful speech from its platform that was not protected by the First Amendment.” It also notes that of the 270 charging documents filed by the Department of Justice, 80 percent of social media references involved Big Tech platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. “Only 5% referred to Parler.”

The letter goes on to explain that Parler accumulated over 15 million users by January 2021 and its app was the most downloaded app at the Apple App Store and the Google U.S. Play Store on January 8, 2021.

The company’s press release connected the dots.

BOTTOM LINE:

Parler was not negligent in its duty to remove incitements to violence, as Amazon, Apple, and Google claimed. In fact, it removed those incitements and altered the FBI about them. Parler may not have been perfect in this regard, but the company had been proactive before the Capitol riot.

Sadly, the FBI has lost all trace of any communication with Parler and cannot support their claim of innocence ...

“Big Tech rivals Facebook and Twitter saw Parler as a viable threat and ganged up with Amazon and others to de-platform and destroy the Company. Big Tech has been effectively scapegoating Parler for the riots at the Capitol”

Upon reading Parler’s accurate statement, Democrats gloated: “I love it when a plan comes together.”

I still can’t create a profile on Parler. I’ve tried dozens of times. Anyone else have that problem?

Parler responds to Rep. Maloney: "The Cmte's interest in Parler appears to stem from a coordinated and widespread disinformation campaign designed to scapegoat Parler for the riots at the...Capitol...and to justify Big Tech’s...de-platform[ing of] Parler"

Parler revealed that it had “proactively developed an open line of communication with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the fall of 2020 and referred violent content and incitement from Parler’s platform over 50 times before January 6th.

Once again the FBI fails to act on a tip literally delivered to them. They didn’t have to go looking. This has happened over and over; the Parkland shooting, Pulse Nightclub, San Bernardino, and the Boston Marathon Bombing. The FBI was given a heads-up and ignored it.

Instead the FBI busies itself with looking for crimes that don’t exist; trying to make the jan 6 protest into an “insurrection”.

When Trump was in the Whitehouse, the FBI used its power to try and destroy him and anyone associated with him to deflect any attempts at even thinking about reforming that corrupt agency. Now with Biden in power, and the FBI holding the Hunter Biden laptop as a bargaining chip, no one will investigate the investigators.

The agency is corrupt. It has been corrupt for a long time. Its culture is corrupt and the unaccountability only fuels the corruption.

SOURCE:

Parler said in a letter to the Committee on Oversight and Reform chairwoman Carolyn B. Maloney, it “took the extraordinary initiative to develop formal lines of communication with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) to facilitate proactive cooperation and referrals of violent threats and incitement to law enforcement,” after it experienced considerable growth in the latter half of 2020.

“In fact, in the days and weeks leading up to January 6th, Parler referred violent content from its platform to the FBI for investigation over 50 times, and Parler even alerted law enforcement to specific threats of violence being planned at the Capitol,” the letter continued.

The company said it regularly sent the FBI screenshots of violent rhetoric, including from one user who “threatened to kill politicians and who specifically threatened former Attorney General Bill Barr.”

Days before the riot, Parler also referred a number of posts from a user threatening to take the U.S. back by force, stating the planned event on Jan. 6 “is not a rally and it’s no longer a protest. This is the final stand where we are drawing the red line at Capitol hill. I trust the American people will take back the USA with force and many are ready to die to take back #USA so remember this is not a party until they announce #Trump2020 a winner ... And don’t be surprised if we take the #capital [sic] building ...”

The FBI even expressed its appreciation for the company’s assistance.

“[E]ven as its Big Tech rivals moved to unlawfully de-platform Parler, the Company still committed valuable resources to working with law enforcement in order to service and expeditiously respond to Emergency Disclosure Requests, subpoenas, and warrants,” the letter states. “The FBI understood the strain that the Company was under and thanked Parler for its efforts to help law enforcement especially under such difficult circumstances for the company.”

~~~
The FBI is a political agency now.
The deep state wanted an incident at the capitol.
Not only do I think agitators and instigators were planted there that day, but I think they may have put agitators/moles into various groups in advance to drive up sentiments.
Nancy pelosi, capitol police, FBI, secret service, etc. No one did anything, despite tips and intel.
It’s either negligence or it was an op.
Charlottesville no longer had any political traction left. Something new was needed.
"And don’t be surprised if we take the #capital [sic] building ...”
The FBI most certainly acted on that tip from Parler -- Chris Ray immediately called Nancy Pelosi and arranged for Capitol police to unlock the doors, put out a welcome mat for protesters, and take extended coffee breaks on the 6th.
Bottom line. Don’t organize events on any social media and definitely not violence. Only antifa and blm are allowed to do that.
If, like me, you were wondering if Parler is pursuing any litigation, I find this from Mar 2 filing in WA Superior Court:
FILED
2021 MAR 02 04:27 PM
KING COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT CLERK E-FILED
CASE #: 21-2-02856-6 SEA
I don’t know status of the case.
