Me neither, that’s why I moved away!
He pretty much sums up the way I feel about the Bay Area, also.
I was raised in Saratoga ( way before Cupertino was Silicon Valley hq), worked in the San Joaquin valley and have family from Walnut Creek to Gilroy.
That's roughly the time frame I move to the Bay Area. It was a huge improvement over the greater Los Angeles area.
Although I suppose that is called damning with faint praise!
The bay is whack. Everybody loves the mask. EVERYONE
I CANT STAND THEM AND CALL THEM SHEEP đ AND KARENS
LOL, he needs to hook up with the Epic Hungarian Trucker...

I give this an 8 on the honking hoot scale. He’s humming that tune, do you know the way outa San Jose...I’m sure the leftist will make sure his next job is flying crop-dusters in Hogjaw Kansas.
And Freda Moon thinks that is somehow big news?
Such a beautiful state...so screwed up!
I like this guy.
I like him
Can you place the accent? I’d like to say Texas but I’m not sure.
He sounded like a guy stuck in traffic after a long day at work.
Everyone here is talking about what he said (which I agree with). Nobody here has picked up on the the real issue, which is when he said it. This is a potentially significant violation of the sterile cockpit rule. No non-essential discussions during critical phases of flight.

Itâs there for a reason.

Sounds like a typical day at Altus AFB.

Câmon, who cares? Suck it up and get over it.
Most people hate the Bay Area, so whatâs the big deal?
If I remember it correctly, Iâm not a pilot, just an aviation fan, it includes taxiing and preparing for takeoff. The article is poorly written, but includes a quote about being âready to go.â
Note, as a retired Army officer, I have a long standing animus towards those who carelessly blab about crap over a hot mike. So that may influence my thinking. Iâm a big believer in keeping your nets clear for business, BS off the net.
If he did violate this rule, you do have a point. Although, if this guy were speaking poorly about “Trump voters” somewhere else in America, would this even have come up ?
I suspect the FAA wouldnât pull the trigger themselves on a nasty comment about âfly-overâ states. But if someone else filed a formal complaint? I canât say, This incident became news when someone on the ground heard it and filed a complaint.
I used to want to visit the Bay Area, tour around, see the Golden Gate Bridge. Nowadays, I can experience SF by walking out into a pasture and stepping in a cow pie.
