But isn’t that what the ‘nuclear option’ could potentially be for, ending debate on legislation? Or am I wrong about that? I thought it allows a simple majority to change senate rules, like temporarily doing away with the filibuster. Reid used it once for Obama appointments and Mitch used it to end debate on the Garland confirmation a few years later.

Leftists seem to think all the hundreds of thousands of our military who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms should be for naught, all because of some crazed individuals who caused some mass shootings of several hundreds or a thousand people in total.
Yes the sacrifice of any American is tragic, but not enough ever to start taking away our rights. We need to sacrifice the rights of those who cause the shootings not law abiding Americans. That should be the red line.
Without the 2A we the people have nothing except to become pawns ready to be sacrificed on the altar of leftist fascism.
