Sidney Powell, the pro-Trump lawyer who spread baseless claims of election fraud, moved Monday to dismiss Dominion Voting Systems' defamation lawsuit against her.

She claims that Dominion conducted a "well-orchestrated public relations campaign to save their business" and that allegations against her are "sparse." Her legal team also requested that the case be moved from D.C. to Texas if it isn't tossed out.
The full motion is available at the link.
A plea of non compos mentis seems appropriate.
The Kracken was released. But rejected.
Ex-Trump lawyer Powell asks judge to toss voting machine company’s $1.3 billion lawsuit
sorry, I don’t get this. Powell’s claims weren’t baseless, so why would she plea non compos mentos? Please educate me.
Dang it! I even searched!!!
I guess the fact I used ‘Sidney Powell’ messed it up.
Oh well...not the first time the same news has been posted more than once on FR! LOL
No media bias there, nope.
“Powell argues in her motion that “no reasonable person” would conclude that her accusations of Dominion’s election-rigging scheme “were truly statements of fact.”
But thousands of Qtards did.
How does that happen?
Are you saying the quotes from the motion are inaccurate, or forged?
Seems clear to me. She’s going with the Alex Jones defense.
No sane person would have believed a word of it.
Claims that Biden legitimately won the presidential election are completely baseless.
What is baseless is the claims Of Biden winning the election
Clearly they aren’t reasonable people.
Probably because no judge is actually going to look at any evidence that exists in regards to the claims.
If she’s gonna raise this “no reasonable person” defense, then she’s gonna have to account for the 20 or so appearances she made reiterating these assertions she made against Dominion. I was a supporter of Sydneys’ efforts but she got so far out in front of her skis and apparently, far out ahead of her evidence that she went full goofball. I regret that she’s gonna be in some serious hot water with this lawsuit. It will go far beyond bankrupting her even if she’s exonerated.
