One year ago today, an article of mine at American Thinker became a flashpoint of mainstream media coverage and criticism. Before two weeks had passed, my article was referenced, including with links to it and me in four major articles at the Washington Post, two in the New York Times (one of them on page one – which I exposed as Fake News here), Politico, Vanity Fair, Buzzfeed, New York Magazine, and others. Many of these articles were syndicated and went around the world.
The reason for all this fuss was that I was the first one in the national media to challenge the media-driven image of Dr. Anthony Fauci as a sage and a savior, a man whose commands to shut down the nation must be obeyed. You see, I had studied Fauci’s handling of AIDS starting almost 40 years ago, and I knew how he operated, and that he was far from politically neutral. The constant media adoration at the start of the “fifteen days to bend the curve” got to me, and I titled my article: “Anthony Fauci, the NIH's face of the coronavirus, is a Deep-State Hillary Clinton–loving stooge.”
In the first article that took me on in the Washington Post (March 26, 2020), national political reporter and former Rhodes Scholar Isaac Stanley-Becker confirmed the impact of my American Thinker item:
Chowka’s piece has generated nearly 20,000 interactions on Facebook alone — more than the typical well performing story in the mainstream media.
That WaPo story was only the beginning, however. It was followed in quick succession by three more in Bezos’s outlet and by two in the New York Times. Subsequent articles implied that I should be blamed for alleged threats to Dr.

My criticism from Day-1 was, “It makes no sense to save a nation by killing it.” Nevertheless, it took at least 3 or 4 months before I realized that Fauci is a quack.
Once the paranoia ends, freedom loving Americans need to celebrate the equivalent of Guy Fawkes Day where Tony Fraudci effigies are ritualistically burned over a pyre of face masks.
Roseburg, OR 3 hours from Portland, our Governor hates our county we are red as can be, so she slapped a total lockdown due to a few residents getting sick, till March 25, last I heard.
On Day-1 they were telling us we would have two million dead Americans, hospitals would collapse, bodies would be stacked like cordwood in the streets.
It really became apparent it was all BS when the hospital ships President Trump dispatched to NYC and LA went almost completely unused, then all the emergency COVID locations set up in the huge convention centers around the country went unused and were taken down not long after they went up. By two or three months in, it was apparent the completely unfounded hysteria was off the charts and nonsensical.
It’s worse than that. The stats they have used to justify junk science have been and are made up out of beach sand.
Ok, Ann here is the part of Hugh Hewitts interview with Fauchi on your question and mine.
Hughhewitt.com, is where you can read the whole interview.
HH: All right. My very last question is high science. It has to do with the Wuhan Lab at which this is expected of escaping. They were doing something called gain of function research. I know you know what that means. It took me a long time to get my lawyer arms around it. Did the NIH support gain of function research? It sounds very dangerous to me.
AF: No, we don’t. we have guidelines now that do not support that kind of research in those circumstances. We support some form of gain of function which is appropriate. We did not support gain of function research there.
HH: Do you think that had something to contribute to the, do you believe in the escape from the lab theory?
AF: No, I mean, I think, obviously, Hugh, you can never rule that out completely. I mean, it’s just one of those things you can’t. But the evidence that, of the sequencing of the virus in bats makes it very, very unlikely. They were doing things that were interpreted as being gained of function that I don’t think fell under the real strict category of that. But we, years ago, Hugh, made a policy that in order to, before you support any gain of function, it’s got to go through multiple reviews that go up to the Department of Health and Human Services. So years and years ago, we were doing, we were supporting among our grantees mostly in influenza, not in COVID-19, mostly in influenza. But then because of concerns, the constraints that are put on gain of function experiments are really rather stringent.
HH: So an allegation was made that the NIAI had supported the Wuhan lab gain of function research. That’s not true?
AF: We supported by a subcontractor. We gave a grant to a person in the United States who subcontracted a collaboration with Wuhan, but that was not gain of function research.
HH: Okay, very important to get that. Okay, I have time for one last question, Dr. I am not vaccinated. Can I go see my grandkids?
AF: Yes, as long as your grandkids are healthy and don’t have an underlying condition that would make them really seriously at risk if they got infected. If they’re healthy young grandkids, you can go see them without a mask in their home. Have fun.
He gave the MO ey to A PERSON to give to the Wuhan Lab!!! WHAT PERSON??? Hugh Hewitt is a WASTE of radio TIME!
WHO WAS IT THAT Dr. FRAUD GAVE OUR MONEY TO?????
Hugh Hewitt should have asked him that, for sure.
