The media is currently pushing the story of “2 million Covid infections” in Florida. Reading any of these stories one finds the small detail that this “2 million” refers to a total count *since the pandemic began*. And that’s measured infections, not deaths.
Sounds like a narrative to me that will make anyone just reading a headline think 2 M infected now.

...a friend of mine recently went to a conference in St Augustine. He said “everyone was very happy”. Tanning on beaches, jogging, playing in parks, shopping.
So what will you people living in lock-down states do? You’ll keep wearing your little mask and cowering in fear until Fauci tells you all is well. I have a hint: he’ll never say that. Democrat governors will not easily surrender emergency powers. If you want your lives and livelihoods back you are going to have to take it. Why take an experimental vaccine for a virus that has a 99% survival rate? If you are elderly with health issues, use precautions. Don’t stop the world. I am 64 and not afraid of the Wuhan flu.

Trump did not want to lockdown. He had a impossible choice. Either lockdown and ruin a economy he spent 3 years building. And it was the best ever and the dems knew it. If the economy wasn’t ruined for a spell they would not have been able to create enough votes to steal the election. Call me nuts and I am probly wrong but I almost would blame deep state for releasing this virus in the world. Trump made trade more even with china and they hated him for it. They did not want another 4 years of Trump and neither did the dems. I would not put it past some of the evil politicians to go along with this.
If he did not lockdown then every death would be blamed on him for not locking down. But he was blamed for it anyways. Even though he did everything correct. They picked him apart. I think if this happened under obama then things would have been worse. And especially biden.
They didn’t like DeSantis because he backed Trump and ran the state the way Trump wanted to run the country during this whole mess. He has a target on his back for sure. But running the state the way he did shows the way it should have been done. I live in Florida and we all know it’s full of old peeps. There should have been more deaths here than anywhere else. Because he opened the state up and kept it open we will reach herd immunity sooner I think. The only reason he closed the beaches for a short time is because he saw a bunch of people not following directions and crowding the beach. Lol.
