“Why Isn’t Everyone in Florida Dead or in the Hospital?”
...a friend of mine recently went to a conference in St Augustine. He said “everyone was very happy”. Tanning on beaches, jogging, playing in parks, shopping.
It is not as completely wide open as you saw. Perhaps at a conference center but most of us here are careful. There is no mandate to wear a mask, at least not one that is going to put you in jail if you don’t but most proprietors make it a requirement to enter. Restaurants have the social distancing thing down and do the wipe overs as suggested, in fact, they generally advertise that they do. Businesses are open and most people are happy with how the state is proceeding except the Karens whom we do have in abundance. The only unhappy group is the press which rails on DeSantis every move, whatever it is because they want him out as he is a great republican.
We were there in February for 10 days. Open for business.
