Imagine not a white, but a green Arctic, with woody shrubs as far north as the Canadian coast of the Arctic Ocean. This is what the northernmost region of North America looked like about 125,000 years ago, during the last interglacial period, finds new research from CU Boulder.

didn’t we already know this?

are we just repeating research in to what we already know?

what is next, the continents used to all be connected?

Excuse me, but there is no land mass under the Artic.   How could it have been green and lush, and could be again?

Climate change is mediated not by cow farts but by huge earth farts. Periodically huge amounts of heat are emitted from the earth’s core via underwater volcanoes and innumerable deep sea smokers that interfaces with the atmosphere. Science simply does not understand how and what regulates the earth’s core activity. Best to leave it alone.

“Climate change, climate change, we’re all going to die!”

Not a single word in the article about the Earth’s precession or about continental drift. The continents today are in different positions on the surface of the Earth then they were then. The Earth was at a different angle with respect to the sun, so the combination of the land masses in question being higher up towards the equator and the Earth being tilted so that it received more sunlight there are not even alluded to. Also, the Earth tends to move in its orbit and may have been closer to the sun at that time. In addition to that, the ocean’s currents have a huge effect on the climate. (The Earth is technically in an ice age right now. What’s keeping Europe warm is the Gulf Stream. A time may come when we are all ordered to drive diesel cars and we’ll all be burning coal to get more CO2 in the air because the “HOW DARE YOU!” jerk girl in Sweden is freezing her a$$ off.)

Yet another article with no context, only an agenda.

What it shows is that the climate change kooks are interfering with a normal earth cycle. If it was not so, where did all that arctic circle oil come from?

Therefore climate change THEORY is horse shit. God does what He wants regardless of god-complex humans. Gates, Soros, Pelosi and Obama better think about that and quit torturing the human race. After draining people of their money for stupid “green agendas” where they pocket the money, God could make the climate frigid freezing all of the f’ing electric cars. They think they are smart, but they are much more stupid then us commoners.

Re: "didn't we already know this?"

First time we have Arctic plant DNA from the last interglacial, as far as I know.

Of course, there were mastodons skeletons found there. As the food source began to fade they became smaller and finally died out.
