More television bias against guns. You won’t see an entertainment television show that has a victim successfully using a gun defensively, and the latest episode of Blue Bloods is no different (Season 11, Episode 8, March 5, 2021). In that episode, a jewelry store owner tries to use a gun to stop a gang from robbing his store, and one of the robbers fatally shoots the store owner. The store owner doesn’t even get a shot off. If you watched entertainment television these days, you would never know that people use guns defensively some 2 million times a year. If you want some examples of jewelry store owners successfully stopping crimes, here are some examples.

I see this crap in TV and movies all the time, and I see it from a different angle: they’re trying to make it seem like guns are complicated and that the average man on the street can make them work well enough to be trusted with them. Only the military and the police, who we want to defund by the way, are skilled enough to use them.
That’s a crap show to begin with. The best recent show of the past was “Chicago PD” but they drank the Cool Aid and that sucks big time now. I tolerated “9-1-1” until it went the same way. “9-1-1: Lone Star” was crap to begin with as it had more queers than steers.

No different than the TV shows from 1969-1985. All had anti-gun scripts written into them.
Standard plot....A man buys his wife a .25 cal pistol for protection. The gun escapes the owner into the hands of a criminal.
The gun commits a series of murders while being passed from criminal to criminal. Gun attaches itself to a kid who thinks it is a toy and kills a friend. Gun is finally trapped and melted into a sewer cover.

They say a 26-year-old man walked into the store just before 1 a.m. and tried to rob it.
Police say the 34-year-old employee pulled out a gun and fired at the attempted robber multiple times, hitting him.
Officials tell News 12 that the firearm the employee used was his licensed gun.
It’s a liberal TV show so it’s worthless to begin with.
I remember that. And all the shows at that time, the ‘bad’ gun was a .38 snubby, ‘registered to’ someone.
I still watch the federal agent videoclip who lectures the classroom FULL OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLKIDS about how he is the only one qualified and trained to use this gun, and then immediately proceeds to shoot himself in the foot.

IIRC, he shot himself in the thigh. I only remember they were justifying it as “it never left the holster,” which made no sense.
After Ronald Reagan was elected president a gang of robbers from Los Angeles attempted to rob a jewelry store on State Street in Santa Barbara, CA. A salesman was at the counter with a client saw the Three black men coming into the store with masks on and weapons drawn. He immediately reached into his boot holster and pulled out a 45 caliber revolver. All of the robbers were armed and he dropped one immediately. The cashier grabber her pistol and dropped another. The store owner came down the stairs into the store with a shotgun and exchanged shots with the remaining ‘suspect’. The owner was severely wounded but the final robber was blown out on the pavilion through the plate glass window.
All in all, a very happy ending to this saga at the time. Within weeks the jewelry store was reopened with the owner fully recovered.
There was no trial for the three deceased robber, having been found guilty by a jury of armed people that did not want to be a victim
Had a friend that owned a jewelry store that had 2 hundred pound German shepherds. Trained the dogs in German and he never had a problem.
