NARRATIVE COLLAPSE: Washington Post Admits Inventing Trump ‘Find The Fraud’ Quotes, Quietly Issues ‘Correction’.

The outlet quietly admitted that the former president never asked the state’s top election investigator to “find the fraud,” but rather encouraged the official to “scrutinize” ballots.
The Post’s full, seven-sentence correction attributes the misquote to faulty “information provided by a source”:
Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source. Trump did not tell the investigator to “find the fraud” or say she would be “a national hero” if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find “dishonesty” there. He also told her that she had “the most important job in the country right now.” A story about the recording can be found here. The headline and text of this story have been corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump.
The headline now reads “Trump pressured a Georgia elections investigator in a separate call legal experts say could amount to obstruction” as opposed to “‘Find the fraud’: Trump pressured a Georgia elections investigator in a separate call legal experts say could amount to obstruction.”

The Washington Post is a propaganda organization. It is beyond terrible that they lied and their lie helped Nancy Pelosi proceed with her second impeachment of our President Donald Trump. They are fake news and I hope Pres.Trump will sue The Washington Post for all they are worth.

The 14th Amendment is what actually applies here. It states, in simple terms, that the Due Process Clause declared that states may not deny any person “life, liberty or property, without due process of law.” To lie about a person with the intent to discredit him and have him removed from a job for that discredit falls under that part of the Constitution.
Trump’s rights were violated. Section 242 of Title 18 makes it a crime for a person to willfully deprive a person of a right or privilege protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States. They can be prosecuted.
TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242
Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, ... shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both...

No surprise they were played. It’s unlikely they will burn the so-called source as this one will make up any conspiracy theory the eneMedia can propagate.

Ah. They issued a correction. Well, I guess we are all good here, then, and it closes the chapter on this!

***The Washington Post issued a correction revealing it “misquoted” Donald Trump’s comment***
Don’t you just love the word “misquoted?” Why use that word? Why not just use the correct words: “lied about”?
