Perfect!!!
Dude, if you really believe this, you have an even poorer understanding of property laws than I thought you did. You are, simply stated, absolutely clueless. Clueless.
Don't take my word for it, Findlawblog has already explained it below...
No Shirt, No Mask, No Service?
Can a commercial establishment legally refuse to let you in the door if you're not wearing a protective face mask? Or ask you to leave if you're already inside?
Absolutely. You've probably seen many a sign saying, "No shirt, no shoes, no service." As long as stores aren't violating the federal Civil Rights Act by singling out a class of people for exclusion, their property is private property.
They can impose dress rules and behavioral rules. They can ask you to leave, or kick you out, just because they don't like your looks — as long as they're not violating the Civil Rights Act, that is.
Wait until you find out retail establishments can refuse to serve people who are wearing the wrong sports cap. You're gonna freak out.
Yes, insane but on her part.
The bank’s rules. Everyone else was wearing a mask. She was asked to leave by the bank. She was asked to leave by the cop. She was then trespassing on private property. She didn’t and is surprised she was handcuffed and escorted out.
She could have come back later to the drive thru without the rig. Seems she intentionally caused the scene.

A “Karen” went looking for trouble and found it.
Fake News.
Being a false and untrue headline.
Amazon hates you and has stifled Free Speech - never buy from Amazon.
See my tagline
I thought Texas dropped the mask mandate?
Yes they did, but they allowed private entities to keep it if they so wished..............
Absolutely. I think you are right on the money and very well explained.
They denied her access to her own “personal property”. Even a landlord cannot do this during an eviction in any state. They have to allow access under any and all conditions to retrieve “personal property”. Or they have to remove it from being locked up and present it outside where the owner of this personal property can retrieve it.
If this bank chose not to accommodate her inside they are required to accommodate her outside. But they cannot refuse access to her own personal property. Her property is not theirs to claim as “private property”. Be like a parking garage denying access to retrieve your personal car based solely on “private property” rights. Your car is not their property.
The officer explains it perfectly - the uproar here seems to be about an old lady being roughed and cuffed.
That’s what happens when you refuse to comply with a police instruction then resist - that had nothing to do with the bank.
The woman could have-
A. donned a mask (received her property)
B. walked up to the teller window (received her property)
Denying her access to the lobby was not denying her access to her property.
I was raised by cops and know what a-holes they can be, but when they say move along and you give them guff, don’t complain when you get read the riot act.
The headline is a lie.
She was arrested for trespassing and refusing an order to vacate.
Her behavior was that of a welfare ghetto queen.
IMO, he should have left that out - a complete ban on mandated mask-wearing, and take the "So sue me." attitude. How many businesses would go to court over that?
That's the way the Democrats would have played it.
I choose to not wear a mask most of the time. If a business I wish to frequent requires it, I wear it. The cop did not overreact. He tried to get her to leave but she refused. She then refused to submit to arrest. Is that grounds for being left alone now? We have seen this from leftists using older people to create police issues, with similar protest from the videos. By the way, I was in Galveston this weekend. Spring Breakers everywhere. Most everywhere is still requiring masks in the city.
Sorry, but you are the one missing the point.
When you are asked to leave, whether you have broken a law or whether you need a bath, does not matter. You have committed trespass at the instant you refuse to leave.
Look up trespass law in your state and see if it mentions masks, no smoking, shoes, shirts or whatever.
The very fact that you do not leave is the commission of the crime of trespass and justifies calling the cops.
At that point, the cops have no choice in the matter.
I admit that in the days of my youth, the cop would often talk the situation down and offer to let you go peacefully but in this day and time most people are fed up with people that want to cram their beliefs up your nose.
Look up the law in your state.
Until you can’t even get food anymore. Stand up for your rights. I understand property rights, but tbere also has to be an ability for people to eat without their rights being trampled.
I'm essentially making the argument that it's not moral, and furthermore capricious and arbitrary to frame a trespass out of this. It may be she didn't have the finesse or $$$ so as to evade the framing of trespass, but the moral argument here is if the bank uses an arbitrary and capricious rule to mobilize the law to cast her as an criminal offender, it's disregarding the duty to treat with her fairly as it is holding her private property (her money, remember?). It's not a hair salon or a supermarket, it's a bank.
