A Georgetown law professor has resigned after being placed on administrative leave over a Zoom conversation with a now-fired professor whom the school described as racist.
David Batson participated in the call — which was recorded and posted on social media by a student — with former-Georgetown professor Sandra Sellers.

They succumbed to the witch hunt. They didn't deserve it, but the fact remains, Zoom sucks, and not knowing how to have a private conversation using it is pretty careless and dumb.
New McCarthyism. If everyone’s a racist, nobody is.
In this day and age you are just one cancel click away from losing your career.
Maybe he didn’t condemn the other professor because he knew she spoke the truth. If what she said was true, what is there to say?
The popular adjective in 2019 was "pumpkin spice". Everything is the world became "Pumpkin spice coffee", "Pumpkin spice ice cream", etc.
This year the popular adjective is "racist". Just for the record, I do not like "racist ice cream".

I like my coffee with no cream and no sugar. How do I order it without getting arrested?
David Batson participated in the call — which was recorded and posted on social media by a student — with former-Georgetown professor Sandra Sellers. “I hate to say this. I ended up having this, you know, angst every semester that a lot of my lower ones are Blacks. Happens almost every semester. And it’s like, ‘Oh, come on.’ You know. Get some really good ones but they’re also usually some that are just plain at the bottom. It drives me crazy,” Sellers was recorded saying in a meeting with Batson.
“What drives me crazy is, you know, the concept of how that plays out. And whether that is, you know, my own perceptions playing in here and when certain, my own, you know, my own unconscious biases, you know, playing out in the scheme of things,” Batson responded.
Very true.
“How do I order it without getting arrested?”
Just say, “I prefer my coffee black, please”
That might get you high praise.
Dominicans were the traditional heretic hunters.
Just another example of how our dumbed down society does not deserve its technology and misuses it to crucify people.
She was an adjunct.
Even when everyone’s a racist, singling out specific people for racism is itself a racist act. :^)
Quite honestly that was a stupid, naive conversation that even the ghetto thugs would have known better than to conduct over an Internet forum.
But now they are starting to eat their own and the ones with some remaining principles will leave the progressive movement or be run off by the zealots.
Back about 2012 I was accused by a black employee where we worked at General Dynamics of “incorrect political thinking.” I was informed that it was a serious, fire-able offense. I discussed this with the people I had known for years and they told me that they no longer spoke to anyone they didn’t know about anything unless they could arrange for a witness. It turns out that GD had a new “ethics manager” and his goal and objective was to fire three people for “ethics” violations by the end of the year. The chilling effect of this was amazing. My compatriots had already noted that any accusation by a black employee against a white employee resulted in the white employee being fired. This did not apply to an accusation against a manager unless that manager was someone the GD politburo wanted to get rid of.
In Stalin’s USSR the older commissars told the younger ones, “say as little as possible. Something that is okay to say today, policy, even, can get you executed tomorrow.” Here we are in a country with “free speech” afraid to say, or in some cases, not to say, anything at all.

And, soon, arrest. Trust me, this is where we are headed under diaper joe bidet and the whore.
True. Much fairer to be a total misanthrope.
Meanwhile, this idiot in VA still has a job....
