Fauci was ‘blind to the harms of the lockdowns' that didn't work anyway, says Stanford doctor

The CDC study, released on March 5, found that mask mandates were associated with decreases in daily coronavirus case and death rates and that reopening of restaurants for in-person dining was associated with increases in daily coronavirus case and death rates.

The size of these positive effects, however, was small — a finding which the study authors downplay in their summary. Mask mandates were associated with decreases in daily COVID case growth rates and daily death growth rates of just 1.8% and 1.9%, respectively, 81-100 days after mandate implementation. Reopening restaurants for in-person dining, meanwhile, was associated with increases in daily case and death growth rates of, respectively, 1.1% and 3% after 81-100 days.

Part of the problem for Dr. Fauci," Bhattacharya said, "is that he is blind to the harms of the lockdown ... He seems not to understand that the lockdown creates all kinds of physical problems, psychological problems, harms that I've never seen him talk about."

Among the issues to which Bhattacharya alludes are rises in child abuse, depression, and divorce rates. Not to mention the large swaths of the American economy that have been decimated, and countless small businesses that will never reopen.

The inequality is mind-boggling," Bhattacharya said. "If you're richer, you can afford to send your kids to private schools, which tend to be open ... but if you're poor, or even if you're just middle-class, and you send your kids to public schools, your kids have not been in school."

He doesn’t care about people suffering and dying. All that mattered was destroying as much as they possibly could to steal the presidency.

Fauci never said a word about what was going on in nursing homes. And even today, he won't criticize it.

That's all one needs to now about Fouchy.

I read the study. It has a p-value of 0.05. That is not strong. In fact, roughly, it can be said there is a 5% chance it could be wrong.

So the correlation is not particularly strong, and the difference is only 1.9% (max).

Trying to find the actual data, but they buried it. There are high powered guys on twit who will take it apart and verify if it is valid or not. I’ll keep an eye out.

You beat me to it.
Fauxi wasn’t ‘blind’. He was all on board with the conspiracy to remove President Trump from the office. The Globalists could not stand President Trump standing in their way.

I don’t believe he was blind. I believe he didn’t care. Being in the spotlight as a federal policy wonk means an irresistible power to control people. Just like so many governors, it was the power trip of being able to halt businesses dead in their tracks, to make fearful people wear masks and close down schools and sporting events.

Blind to it? Hell, no. They celebrated it.

Yep. He was unknown back in Jan 2020 and is now a household name and he loves it. Xiden in his speech tonight just said basically listen to him and do what he says, he’s a expert!

He was not blind, he knew. He just also knew what would happen to him personally if he went against the leftist, democrat technocrats and deep state.

Meanwhile, check out what the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is paying for...

Thank You, Dr. Fauci

A virtual thank you card for Dr. Doom.

Wonder if taxpayer money is paying for that.

I doubt any if the bankrupted small biz owners I know, or their out of work employees, will be signing it.

The study was not about mask efficacy, which has been established in many studies. The study was about the effects of mandates vs. no mandates. With mandates, one may assume that more people are diligent about wearing masks than without mandates; the difference in mask use resulted in a 1.8% drop in daily case growth where mandates were implemented.

Likewise, the mandate to close restaurants resulted in a 3% drop in daily case growth. One may assume that restaurants are taking measures to place groups of diners at least 6 feet apart, etc., regardless of mandates. We know from other studies that the most likely places to catch Covid-19 are restaurants and bars, where people are typically seated in very close proximity (which is ideal for transmission of respiratory airborne viruses).

Together, these two mandates resulted in a 4.8% drop in daily case growth. That’s actually fairly large, and it is additive with other measures to inhibit transmission.

When posting articles such as this, one should examine the original research publication and verify that it says what the article claims it does. The premise of the “Just the News” article was that masks and restaurant closings did nothing, but that is not what the study showed at all. The study showed that mandates worked, presumably by increasing compliance with the guidelines to slow the spread.
