Famed conservative radio and television commentator Geraldo Rivera is exploring a run for U.S. Senate in Ohio as a Republican, telling cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer that he thought he could run a campaign outside the normal bounds of politics.
Rivera, 77, has been a staple on television and radio since the 1970s as both a correspondent and conservative political pundit. In an interview with cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer, Rivera said he was serious about the endeavor and planned on traveling the state on a listening tour in the coming weeks to solicit feedback about his potential candidacy. He said he and his wife, Erica Levy, a Democrat, would talk it over in the coming weeks as they decide....

I wish he would run in NJ instead. He would at least be an improvement over the senators there.

When did he last set foot in Ohio?
Yes NJ would be a more appropriate choice.
For some reason he obviously thinks Ohio would be more receptive to his candidacy. The question is why does he think that?

I’d rather have a lib than a blue-blood Rino. At least you know when the lib is going to screw you.

Seems a little odd to refer to Geraldo as a conservative, forgive me.

I am rather surprised by two things. One, that Geraldo Rivera is now considered a conservative. And two, that he is 77 years old.

He owns (or at least owned a couple years ago) a home in Shaker Heights not far from where some family members live.
