Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that if not for him Americans would likely never receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I hope everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t President, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all,” Trump said in a statement.
“I hope everyone remembers!” he continued.
A senior adviser to President Biden’s coronavirus response team said on Wednesday that one in four adults in the United States have now received their first shot of the vaccine.
Trump, who was permanently banned from Twitter following the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, has resorted to emailing statements that are reminiscent of his old tweets.
The former president frequently took to Twitter during his presidency to call out lawmakers, make official announcements and even promote his policies.

Trump knew how to get things done. That’s one of the reasons I voted for him - I thought he could create useful and beneficial Change.

My first take on this Trump statement was that it was a bit of a stretch. Part of the braggadocio we became used to in his tweets.
But after thinking about it, I’ve come to the conclusion that Biden and the progressives would have seen no need to expedite the development of the vaccine. After all, as long as the pandemic is around, they are in the driver’s seat.

Just like the vaccine for the Swine Flu when Soetero was President. If it weren’t for President Trump being President, it would be just another flu strain that we’d be dealing with.
With a survival rate over 99%, this was meant to create just enough chaos to be used against him and manipulate voting. Nothing more.
He is right in substance. He personally drove Operation Warp Speed which delivered vaccine far faster than Fauci or any of the so-called experts said could be done. We probably would not have had vaccine until late this year, which is exactly what the Lockdown Democrats wanted.
He’s probably right. And he shut down incoming from China while Fauci was still mumbling...just go on about your business...and no masks....cuz health care workers need them. Of course he never said...a scarf, a towel any substitute would off the same protection.
It was not the development of the vaccine. It was the approval of the emergency use authorization through the FDA.
That was the accomplishment by Trump because many said it would be impossible. He did do that. He bulled his way through the bureaucracy and here we are......

Fast tracking it and injecting folks with an experiment was the worst thing he did. All else was really good.
I believe it. I wonder how many lives this vaccine saves. I know that the number of deaths would be more if we had no vaccine and if maybe we never shut down and just charged ahead. There is herd immunity. How many deaths if we did nothing as opposed to doing nothing. As opposed to the shut down. As opposed to wearing the masks. People are dying from taking the vaccine. Are they completely healthy or is there a underlying condition that is causing this. It’s not perfected and will likely be another version of it coming out that’s new and improved in a few years. They will politicize this to death.
