It's getting to be like Sodom and Gomorrah around here. Which worries me!

I don’t care what skin color you are, if you rape a corpse you need to be segregated from society, probably for good.

As a former security guard, there is just too many people who take those jobs who are not the brightest, have low motivation, or POS people, one of the reasons why I will never be one again.

Instead of naming it April’s law, it should be named for the pervert so he is forever shamed by it, not her.

"Parham was in the morgue waiting for her organs to be donated." --- Can a corpse be "waiting?"

“In 2018, Cameron Wright, a former St. Francis Hospital security guard was found on top of 37-year-old April Parham. She died of cardiac arrest.”

These sentences sure don’t stand up just on their own. This one makes it sound like he raped her and she then died of a heart attack.

I agree. It’ll be a constant reminder to the family.

Two stories Tennessee media is known for: animal abuse stories, and abuse of a corpse stories. You can usually find one or the other in the local Tennessee media on a daily basis.

I guess hospitals have morgues because otherwise, her organs are no good if she’s laying on ice.

50 years ago, when I was in medical school, if a woman died, there was a rule that a female staff member would accompany the orderlies taking the corpse down to the morgue ...to prevent the male orderly from abusing the corpse.

And in ancient Egypt, the family would delay sending a female corpse to the embalmers for a few days for the same reason.

That reminds me of a joke I heard back in the 70s, which would not be PC today...

I guess that nut couldn't find a living female to date.

“wtf is it with security guards and corrections officers???!!!!”

They are government employees after all. Their higher ups and political bosses are just more discrete. By the way, silly me I thought necrophilia was already a crime.

Should be capital punishment or a lifetime stint in a psyche ward.

What else can they do?

Exactly what I thought. After all the serial killers who have done just that, it’s not already a felony? Non sexual abuse of a corpse is already a crime...you mutilate a corpse, such as removing hands to eliminate fingerprints, that’s already illegal.

Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway (Green River Killer), Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffery Dahmer and others all engaged in sex with women or men they had killed at least once. I iust read a book not long ago about another one who killed 3 young boys, under 10 years old, and raped one of them the next day. He was executed long ago, by the way. He had fantasized about all of this for a long time. All of it planned in advance, he didn’t just flip out one day and kill a kid. He went to a local park where he knew he’d find kids, and a wooded area to conceal his presence...and deeds...pure evil.

I’ve read or seen documentaries about others, but can’t remember names.

This is not already a federal felony???
