(CNN)Hillary Clinton weighed in Monday on Oprah Winfrey's explosive interview with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and her husband, Prince Harry, offering support for Meghan and decrying the tabloids and bureaucracy that often targeted her.
"I found it so heart-rending to watch," Clinton said during a Washington Post Live event on Monday, noting that she had met the pair as well as Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. Clinton called it "heartbreaking" that Meghan was not "fully embraced" not just by "the permanent bureaucracy that surrounds the royal family, but by the media in the UK

I’ll tell you what shouldn’t be forced. Families should be forced to listen to, much less heed the unsolicited opinions of irrelevant busybodies and has-beens, when it comes to how they conduct their affairs amongst themselves!

She married into Royalty, which includes certain responsibilities, maybe she thought she could change the Royal Family which is insane, they have been that way for hundreds of years....now that she couldn’t change things, she wants to whine and complain.....without marrying into a royal family she would be nothing more than a 2-bit minor actress who most people have no idea who she is...

I’m not a fan of the institution although I have respect for it. I would probably never marry into it. That’s on Meghan. I guess Harry wanted out because of what happened to his mother. So it makes sense. Rich people problems.

I’m pretty sure she wasn’t forced to marry Harry-and into his family-it appears that most of royal family didn’t want her in the 1st place and are delighted she and her no-longer royal husband have departed the UK...

I don’t have any great love for the Monarchy, but it’s tradition in the UK and a lot of people love it...
In Harry’s case, I think the proper term is pussy whipped.....one day when she leaves him, he will wonder was it all worth throwing away his royal family and lifestyle.
To be honest, she’s still a 2-bit actress who most people haven’t heard of.

Hillary will almost always say the wrong thing at the wrong time. She has never heard about that glass house and stones thing.
